New Yahoo! CEO from Google

Definitely a HCB!

“What sets her apart from the others at Google who were more influential?”

Well, probably those other guys would not leave Google. Leaving a high position at one of the best companies in Silicon Valley for a sinking ship is a risky move. Plus, you don’t want to get some random guy in an unrelated department. Yahoo needs to work on their business model. The technology is not the issue.

Anyway, do you guys know how rare it is to find a hot woman who has a MS in Computer Science? Unless she pulled a Scott Thompson move, this is definitely not normal.

i’m sad to hear google lost a talent like her…however, i think google has a chance in surviving without her…

one reason i heard she left was she felt she may never make it to the “c suite” at google so why not cash in now and retire when yahoo sells itself? i am not so sure that she will be able to turn around yahoo though.

Despite my skepticisim about Ms Mayer. I think Yahoo definitely has the right idea. They need someone with a stronger “Internet DNA” than their previous executives, and Mayer has that. She brings celebrity and ignites a lot of interest in Yahoo. I have thought before that Mayer was going to become a CEO at some point or another, but definitely didn’t think it’d be Yahoo…thought AOL would be it…

Oh and when Yahoo does better, MSFT will do better…as Bing runs Yahoo…

Let’s be honest here. If you were covering this company, would you rather meet with her or Jerry Yang? LOL

Plus…who wouldn’t want to work for her…

does Jerry get babes?

Wow. She’s pretty.

…what does she do, again?

i don’t know what you guys are wowing over…she is average at best as far as decent chicks go…she is hot relative to CEOs but definitely no Kim K or even Kourtney K…

Someone needs to start a @FakeMarissaMayer twitter handle and tweet random sh*t.

I can’t think of any other companies with attractive CEOs. I hope this is a new trend

Marissa is a real person! Unlike certain media personalities.

To those talking about her hotness, do you realize that she’s six months pregnant right now? Also, do you think her pregnancy will affect her job?

On my FB feed, I see a whole bunch people taking offense that her pregnancy is in the spotlight. I just wonder how it could possibly NOT be in the spotlight. Assuming you’re doing it right, a CEO has to really dedicate themselves to a company day in and day out. Especially with a distressed company like Yahoo, I can’t imagine this being a 9-5 job where you can get plenty of rest and can afford to give 100% of your effort and creativity. Not trying to belittle women, but rather respecting the difficulties of pregnancy.

is she married? to whom?

She’s married to some private equity guy, and yes, I do realize she’s 6 months preggo. I still think she’s hot though, what a lucky guy.

Well she wont be pregnant for very long then…it’s not like she’s secretly dying of cancer or anything.

Good job yahoo. It’s either a CEO who won’t sell while a company has a higher value, a guy who fakes his resume, or a pregnant woman who’s due in 3months

Hmm. I think it depends on how much maternity leave she takes. If she’s out and back again in a week, then cool stuff. If it’s more like 3 months… that would be a bit problematic. People in this sort of position should not have as much flexibility with personal leave as normal office drones.

from my experience, women who have kids are never the same…

Frank, maybe it’s bordering on obsession. in nearly all your posts, you bring her up…
