Give birth and deliver are the same thing. The doctor can’t deliver a baby because he/she doesn’t have it to deliver. The doc helps the mother to deliver the baby. Are you delivering the package when the UPS guy hands it to you?
Yeah, what I said made no sense (wasn’t familiar with that usage), but you are wrong too. Turns out a mother or doctor or other attendant can “deliver” a child:

I still hold that you can’t deliver something you don’t have. Merriam-Webster is wrong.

I think he is referring to the fact that Nikesh has a CFA charter. There is also a possibility that Blake is Nikesh. This would explain how he keeps dealing with “executives and their assistants”.
