Steelers running game looked good at the start, not sure why they ruined that first drive trying to get cute with a trick play anding in a -8 yard sack. Killed the momentum and gave it to the Pats.
Never understand that shitty of play calling. You are running the ball extremely well, just run a fucking play action. Pats had that trick play covered perfectly. Pats played the better game for sure, but I wasnât really impressed by anyone. Looked at the Pats schedule and it looks like a cake walk this year so Brady should put up insane numbers.
My biggest concern going in was the Patriots offensive line, with rookies at center and guard and that actually held up fine. I also figured Brown would expose Butler and even though his numbers looked godly, I still thought Butler did a good job on him when he was in single coverage. Heâs arguably the best WR in the league so he was going to get his.
The rest of the Patriots defense though⌠woof. The Steelers could and should have dropped like 35+ in that game. Williams did whatever he pleased up the tackles and there was no edge set all night. Like you said, they just kept overthinking themselves getting cute with trick plays or play action on 1st and goal from the 1? Dumb, dumb, dumb. Todd Haley needs to bury that game tape. Hoping the Pats defense can figure some stuff out in easier games against Buffalo and Jax before they go on the road to Dallas.
Agreed on all points. Obviously first game of the season, hopefully both those teams can knock some rust off. Should be an interesting year, lot of divisions wide open for someone to take.
Yea but their OL still looks as beastly as ever. That was just such a strange game with the fluky turnovers and mistakes, I think once things settle down their run game will be as dominant like last year assuming that line stays healthy. Some of the pockets Romo had to throw from looked like the Ritz-Carlton.

The three teams the Patriots played in the playoffs are 0-6 to start the season. The Ravens tried to copy Belichickâs ineligble receiver trick (that they whined about and wanted banned) and promptly lost to the Raiders. Chuck Pagano is taking direct shots at Ryan Grigson and Andrew Luck in his post gamer last night.
It has certainly been an interesting start to the season. Who would have thought the Ravens, Colts, Eagles, Bears, Lions, Saints, & Seahawks would all be 0-2! Who would have thought the Bills would be 1-1 and have given the Pats a game like that.
Tis a long season of injuries though so I am sure there are some more shake ups to come. VERY excited to see what else Amari Cooper can do, that kid has some serious wheels and route running. Would love to see him progress into a top teir receiver in the league. Him and Crabtree (who looked to have a resurgance) could be absolutely devistating to a secondary.
