I’ll be in Section 134. Bring it.

And by it, I mean ribs. The BBQ is trash up here.

Ok, my priapism just abadated.

What a weekend of football. Can’t believe the Cincy meltdown. And for God’s sake LACES OUT!

The winner of the Chiefs v NE game will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. Should be a good one.

Let the HYPE begin!

is Cam Chancellor the biggest monster in the NFL. Sleeveless in -25 degree weather.

Based on the weekend’s games, I’d say Vontaze Burfect is the biggest monster. Cincy should’ve won that game.

Cam ain’t got nuthin’ on 88 year-old Bud Grant.

This whole Chandler Jones thing is being oddly under-reported. I’d think the team’s sack leader ODing on some substance (possibily at Gronk’s house) would garner more attention from the media and the NFL. And there’s reports suggesting the medical records were tampered with/destroyed.

Asking the Pats fans out there, or just ltj, at what point do you think, “damn, maybe my team is pretty shady?” Not picking a fight. Just seems like NE is always doing something borderline wrong. Whether it’s cheating scandals or hiring players that are bad cats. It’s an organization that is acting more like the Raiders, and that’s not company you want to keep.

Now the Rams are going back to L.A. Maybe bring the Chargers with them in a year. Time and time again, L.A. has been unable to sustain an NFL franchise. What’s the over/under on the Rams leaving L.A. again?

I’m not going to even attempt to try and speculate on what really happened because I don’t know anything.

From what I see… he sought out medical attention due to being pretty f’ed up (on what? no idea), briefly spent time in the hospital and has been at every practice and meeting since. The Gronk’s house report was retracted quickly by a local radio show that is known for saying outlandish things to gain back market share they’ve lost, and Gronk was confirmed to be in Florida at the time. I don’t think medical records were tampered with, I believe the police chief originally denied he was there? Whether that’s him trying to cover something up or just protecting someone’s privacy, I don’t know.

Jones doesn’t have any history so if he had a rough night on drugs or booze and the NFL wants to look into it, he’d be placed in the substance abuse program and not miss any games. I think you’d be hard pressed to find any team in the league that doesn’t have a cast of characters involved with substances and/or performance enhancing drugs, but if you want to make this a Patriots only thing, be my guest.

I mean you say you aren’t picking a fight but every other sentence is rather inflammatory, so I’m not sure I buy that line. Spygate was a situation where they were filming from the wrong section of the stadium and nothing more. Deflategate was a freaking joke. You want to talk about underreporting? How about overreporting something so negligible the NFL didn’t even know anything about PSI before the whole thing “broke” (via incorrect information from Mort and never denied by the league). Brady has had a better season this year than he did last year and the Patriots have fumbled less. Meanwhile the Manning HGH story is basically dead in the water but he absolutely lit up the league in 2012 and 2013 after four neck surgeries? Oddly underreported if you ask me.

I guess after that last paragraph I wrote it is a little shocking the Jones story hasn’t set the world ablaze yet.

What else do you want to cover? Aaron Hernandez? He had his issues, hence falling so far, but do you think he would have went completely undrafted if the Pats didn’t take him? Doubt it. I don’t think on the scouting reports it said “91% chance to commit murder, 100% chance to be a great player” and they were sold. I mean that’s a pretty unprecedented situation. Again, there are players all over the league with character issues with similar checkered pasts who haven’t killed anyone. Well, other than Ray Lewis and Rae Carruth but I digress.

If someone was trying to cover up Jones’ tracks from having a rough night with drugs would that be the first time that’s ever happened in football history? Probably not the first time it’s happened THIS WEEK. Michael Irvin was a notorious drug abuser and piece of crap and every week I see him on my TV as if none of that mattered cause he won football games and Super Bowls as a stud WR. Plaxico Burress is remembered as a hero who helped stop 19-0, not the guy who was carrying around a handgun that went off in a nightclub.

Honestly I do try to look at things objectively as possible. Do the Pats cut corners? Yeah. Do other teams? Yep. But I do have some issues with the way the Pats are portrayed as opposed to the rest of the league. There are still millions of people who think the Patriots taped the walkthrough before the 2001 Super Bowl. That was a made up report by some idiot at the Boston Herald who retracted it the next day, but it has since gone into confirmed fact as something that happened with Spygate. It’s absurdly unfair.

So to answer your question… yes I think the Pats are shady. I also think a lot of other teams are too. Does that make what the Pats do easier to stomach? No, I wish Belichick wasn’t an arrogant ass who ignored the NFL’s memo in '07.

FWIW… stealing signals started long before the Pats did it. I think it traces back to KC if I remember correctly. http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2008/2/23/122122/210

The owner is paying for the new stadium, so I’d say they’ll be there for a long time. It’s going to be a 100,000 seat stadium, so expect to see 65,000 empty seats 8 Sundays per year on national TV.

So what you’re saying is that Brady was previously hurting the team by making the equipment guys illegally deflate the balls.

I kid, sort of. Well maybe not. Yeah, I do.

The stadium’s expected to be completed in 2018, so where’ll they play in 2016 and 2017? Coliseum? Rose Bowl?

^ LA Coliseum

I can’t get my head around how a sports teams can just decide to pack up and move to another place? Do the fans not just go mental?

They do.

Some teams (e.g., Indianapolis Colts) sneak out in the dead of night.

^ I’ve heard of players do that (Sonny Bill) but whole teams?

Yup: the whole Baltimore Colts team snuck to Indianapolis in the middle of the night.

Yes, that was actually the second 30 for 30 doc ever made (something ESPN actually does well). Check it out, it’s great.

RIP Lawrence Phillips. I’ll miss you big poppy.

What a waste of talent.

What a waste of a human. Glad he’s gone.
