Are you feeling any better today knowing that Chandler Jones didn’t OD on pills at Gronk’s house but freaked out on some synthetic weed?
I knew that when I wrote my OP on the subject. Or I should say, I heard the rumor a couple days ago that it was synthetic weed. It raises an interesting point that the NFL is so behind the times that they still have weed listed as a PED. Jones, following the rules laid out by the NFL, used a substance that’s legal (both in terms of the actual law and according to the NFL) but much more harmful and causes people to wig out (like in this example).
Why are you being so defensive? Your last post could have been a reply to me kicking your dog.
Was it synthetic weed? Thats a shame, they really just need to knock it off and let the players smoke real weed. That synthetic stuff is absolutely nothing like weed and really is dangerous. At least he called for help, people can die from that stuff.
With Chiefs and Pats fans all trying to speculate on Maclin and Gronk’s injuries… Antonio Brown is ruled OUT for the Broncos game. That suuuuucks.
Guess Pacman has to apologize now.
Steelers don’t deserve to advance anyway.
burfict single handedly ended Pitts season, injured bell, brown, and ben
andy reid is a disgrace to the NFL, sorry for you STL
Game ball for clock management goes to Andy Reed. One more in a closet full of them.
is Peyton Manning the best lockdown five-headed QB in the league?
Yeah, that sucked. But, as much as I want to blame Andy Reid (and I do), we were outmatched. The Pats injured players played like all-stars and the Chiefs injured players barely made it on the field. We just didn’t have the talent available to keep up.
Things like the Knile Davis fumble (have fun getting fired you a-hole), and the personal foul on Moses when the Pats had 3rd and long were really what killed us. That clock management though…my god. We (Chiefs fans) all knew Reid sucks at managing the clock. What I don’t get is how he hasn’t done anything to improve over the decades. Hire a god damn clock manager to follow your fat ass around. And what was up with Smith just lazily walking up to the huddle, not spiking the ball…just no sense of urgency at all. Very disappointing.
Still, it was a Pats win more than a Chiefs loss. Hope they kick the shit out of Denver, and then get stomped in the Super Bowl by the Cards.
As an Eagles fan, you’ll get used to that. Reid is a fantastic regular season coach. He isn’t good enough to win the big game. He game plans well but lacks the ability to make in game adjustments, and he has no clue how to manage a clock. He is so stubborn thats what the people of Philly were so sick of him for, he will never change. Pats played well and you got to tip your hat to them. Pats lose to the Panthers in the SB is my prediction.
word is pats messed with the chiefs headsets - color me surprised
Outside of being at the Pats game on Saturday, my favorite part of this weekend had to be a few times during the Steelers/Broncos game when Nantz and Simms thought one of Peyton’s passes got tipped at the line… and on the replay it turned out no one touched it, it was just an awful, wobbly duck.
Simms’ reaction: “Oh. The pass just came out funny.”
Yeah…
FiveThirtyEight predicitons for the rest of the season:
Advanced stats in football are hit or miss, especially when they are cumulative as I believe those are. ELO, DVOA, all that jazz… it definitely tells a story but I’m not sure how complete it is. SRS on pro football reference is another one. How do you account for the two months of no Edelman? How do you account for the fact that the Broncos won quite a few games with Osweiler who isn’t playing and Manning was statistically the worst QB this season will now be the starter?
I’m more inclined to go with Vegas than the advanced stats when it comes to football.
Im still sticking with my Panthers > Pats call for the SB this year. I think they got the Broncos > Pats call wrong, but we shall see. Broncos D-Line may make short work of your O line and you guys could look worse tha you did against the Eagles. I still think the Pats will win but it certainly doesn’t take much to envision a scenario where Denver dominates either. Should have 2 solid championship round games.
That would be a welcome change. I think it’s been 3 or 4 years since both games were actually close.
