Not out the question that they trade for Sam Bradford. Eagles picked up Chase Daniel and are paying him a ton for a backup. Trade with Dolphins also got them the 8th pick in the draft which they could use on a long-term solution at QB. I thought Denver was a good fit for Bradford all along, but everyone (not here) kept saying that Osweiler wasn’t going anywhere.
Tebow to the Broncos?
That’s an abortion of an idea right there.
^ surely they deserve credit for putting their money where their mouth is…
L.A. Rams just traded up for the #1 pick. They gave up a ton. Dumbarses.
Yeah, they gave up about 8 draft picks and got three in return. Not sure what they’re thinking.
Rumor has it they’re gambling on a quarterback that looks good, mainly because he plays for North Dakota State, in the Missouri Valley Footbal Conference.
Give up picks: two 1st round (#15 overall 2016, ? 2017), two 2nd round, two 3rd round
Gain picks: one 1st round (#1 overall), one 4th round, one 6th round
Brilliant!
How’d that Sam Bradford pick work out for them the last time they picked at #1?
i still cant believe jeff fisher is employed in the NFL. he is an avg to below average coach that has been coaching for 10+years with below avg results.
now he bamboozles the GM and Owner into mortgaging the future on a QB.
It’s a reverse RG3 trade. The Rams did the opposite a few years ago with the Redskins where they gave their 1st pick for a plethora of picks.
^Ha! Then a couple years later, the seven dudes they drafted were the team captains that went out for the coin toss against the Skins. Epic.
WTF are the eagles doing… not thrilled to see this trade.
I love it. Welcome to the Carson Wentz era in Philly. It’s too bad they traded The Sanchize, otherwise they could have had 3 top 5 QB picks on the roster at once.
Trading that many picks for a kid who played minor college football, what could go wrong? Seems like a Raiders move more so than a Eagles move. Al Davis never met a combine phenom he didnt have to trade up to draft. Anywho I hope I am dead wrong and he is a franchise qb, then it would be a small price to pay. The chances of that based on previous drafts seems low though.
Wow. this is breaking news to me.
Basically, the Eagles gave up a first round pick, and second round pick, and a third round pick, all to move up seven whole slots?
Chip Kelly, come back soon!
(Actually, as a Cowboys fan, I am loving this. I don’t see any way that this is good for the Eagles.)
^ They only moved up 6 spots. They gave up their 8th pick this year along with this years third & fourth rounder. Next years first and second.
The only way this is good for the Eagles is if the guy they get (most likely Carson Wentz) turns out to be a top 5 QB. Otherwise its horrible, and I dont like the odds.
Draft picks have more value in pro football than any other sport yet this off season some teams are treating them as if they were as valueless as MLB picks.
Who they gunning for?
Maybe they’re gunning for Josh Norman, since Carolina opted to NOT use their franchise tag on him.
He is now an unrestricted free agent.
I hope he comes to Dallas, so we can get a show twice a year vs the Giants.
According to the Philly media, it’s Carson Wentz. Apparently the Eagles FO talked with LA’s FO, and LA said they were taking Goff at 1, leaving Wentz there for the Eagles if they could get up to #2.
