So…who had the better TD pass? Dontari Poe or Dez Bryant?

Gutted by the Carr news over the weekend. Was really looking forward to the Raiders @ Patriots in the AFC Championship. Really sick of playing the same old garbage (Chiefs, Texans, Steelers, zzz). There’s a very real possibility the first playoff game in New England will feature either Tom Savage, Matt McGloin or Matt Moore at QB. That’s… wow. The AFC is something else right now.

That Ravens/Steelers game on Christmas was bananas though.

The Lions were a nice story but c’mon. They were trailing in the 4th quarter of like all of their wins. Not really a surprise they aren’t as good as their record indicated. Can’t believe Washington is still in the driver’s seat for a playoff spot. It’s been quiet for the past few years on the NFL’s playoff expansion but I really hope it never happens. There’s just too many trash teams getting in as it stands.

The last week turned me into a Tony Romo fan (I didn’t think it was possible). I really hope he signs with a contender next year and knocks America’s Team out of the playoffs in AT& T stadium.

Oakland @ Houston arguably the worst playoff football game in history. The winner gets to go to Foxboro (most likely).

Tony Romo to the Chiefs?

B&B are the GOAT*

Haha. What a night.

Wow! That Super Bowl was epic. I wasn’t rooting for the Patriots for most of the game, but I couldn’t help myself from not doing so in the 4th quarter and OT. The Falcons could have sealed the win. They were in field goal range and decided to pass and take a sack, not once but twice!?! For the last two possessions in the 4th quarter, Tom Brady clearly had more ice in his veins than Matty. You could see it. You could see that the Patriots were going to do it. The Falcons defense, who were so dominant and energetic in the first half, were completely drained. A 25-point comeback win in the Super Bowl…Epic.

The cherry on top for me was when the commissioner was booed. That was great and deservedly so. He is a POS. You could see how awkward it was for him to have to shake Brady’s hand and later present the trophy. If Roger Goodell had any pride left he would retire.

Super Bowl records set last night:

Most passing yards (Brady, 466); most completions (Brady, 43); most pass attempts (Brady, 62); largest comeback (Pats trailed by 25); most offensive plays (Pats, 93); most 1st downs (Pats, 37).

And it was the first Super Bowl to go to overtime.

Pretty epic game.

Missed the first 4 quarters but caught the OT, was a nice drive.

am i missing something? 80% of that game was so boring it was barely watchable. The end hardly makes up for that, biggest choke job in the history of sports??

you didnt miss much, first 3Q’s were boring, Q4 was the collapse, OT drive was inevitable. If I am a ref I dont call that PI though. Its obviously a penalty but in football/hockey/basketball the penalties get a little harder and that was a sooooft penalty to basically hand them the game (not saying the Pats didnt deserve to win after the pitiful display by the falcons)

Great game. Loved it. I was kinda rooting for Atlanta, mainly because my daughter said she was rooting for the red team. (Coincidentally, about two minutes later, my son said he was rooting for the white team, because we always root for the white team. But I had already Made up my mind.).

Watched the post game the next morning, just to see how the Goodell-Brady interaction would go. I loved how he was booed offstage and how Robert Kraft gave him as much middle finger as he could without being a douchebag himself.

Certainly an amazing comeback. Congrats to the Pats.

Obviously a penalty but shouldn’t be called? Come on that was clear as day PI. The argument that you should swallow a whistle in a big moment is absurd.

The worst call of the night was the leaping penalty on Mclellin on the second extra point. That was a completely legal play and Bill knew it. If the Pats failed on those 2 point conversions the salt would be mountainous in Boston today. Thank god it didn’t come to that.

Is Marky Mark the best lockdown fair-weather sports fan in the game? The punk left the stadium after the 3rd quarter.

Im saying as a fan of sports its more interesting when you make teams earn it. Putting the ball on the 2 for such a weak penalty really left a bad taste in my mouth. Brady still almost threw a pick the next play which would have been nuts, but as soon as that was called it was game and a really really lame ending to a not very exciting game. The NFL will try and act like it was the greatest game ever but I will argue otherwise. Was a snooze fest with Atlanta dominating til they sat on their butts and coasted, couldnt kick it back in gear when they needed to and blew it.

Tom Brady pass complete short left to James White for 6 yards Tom Brady pass complete short right to Danny Amendola for 14 yards Tom Brady pass complete short left to Chris Hogan for 18 yards Tom Brady pass complete short left to James White for -3 yards Tom Brady pass complete short left to Julian Edelman for 15 yards James White right end for 10 yards

I mean those were the six plays in OT up until the correctly called pass interference. They drove 60 yards at will. I’d say they earned it. You don’t just throw the rule book out because it makes for more interesting viewing. I agree though, it would have been nice if it was a true walk off touchdown to end it instead of having to awkwardly wait around for them to confirm James White’s knee wasn’t down.

Bill’s presser today was great. “We’re 5 weeks behind the rest of the league for the 2017 season.” GOAT
