NFL Thread

Just read this stat:

Aaron Rodgers could throw an INT on each of his next 72 passes and still have a higher career passer rating than Tom Brady.

^ I’ve heard several NFL analysts (no, can’t recall any of them) say that Rodgers at his best is the GOAT. Unless he can win 2 or 3 more rings though, he’ll never really be considered in the GOAT conversation. Waiting 3 years behind Favre didn’t help statistically, although could have helped make him the freak he is today.

^Yeah, people ā€œin the knowā€ seem to consider him to be better than Brady and Manning. Hare to appreciate just how efficient he’s been as a QB.

What is the obsession lately with that stat format? I saw ā€œBelichick could lose all 16 games for the next 5 seasons and still have a higher win percentage than Jeff Fisherā€ earlier today. Wtf?

It appears we’re all getting our stats from www.reddit.com/r/nfl

I’m surprised it’s not 10 seasons.

Speaking of Jeff Fisher, the Rams honored him on Thursday by losing. It’s what he would have wanted.

^ LOL, good one.

Nice to finally win in Denver.

So that’s eight straight AFC East titles. Rob Ninkovich joined the team in 2009 (from Miami no less) and has won the division every season he’s been in New England.

Nate Solder and Marcus Cannon were drafted in 2011 and have played in an AFC Championship every season since coming to the NFL.

Crazy stuff.

^ If only your fantasy team faired as well this week… haha hopefully I didn’t just jinx myself.

Yeah I mean I had like a 5% chance of winning, regardless of what the projected scores were. Your team was far superior and the matchups were bananas. David Johnson vs the Saints? Matt Ryan vs the 49ers? With Julio out again!

It was definitely tight through the early games. When they called back the Antonio Brown TD on the chop block I thought maybe the stars were aligning for an improbably lucky season but once the 4pm games kicked it was pretty clear what was gonna happen. Congrats, you definitely had a monster squad this year. I’ll be happy to possibly win my money back.

Yeah not to toot my own horn, but I built a pretty ridiculous team this year. Especially considering I blew 10% of my budget on Jeremy Langford, otherwise my squad came together pretty well (can’t believe I was able to pick up Matt Ryan on the waiver wire! 10 team 1qb leagues are dumb…)

That AB TD getting called back was brutal at the time. Then Bailey missing 2 50 yarders hurt. Hopefully none of that will matter.

Ha, I doubt it. Both Stewart and Jackson would have to set season highs by quite a bit for it to even be close. The Panthers have already mailed it in. Maybe they’ll let DJax free for like four long touchdowns.

#1 seed clinched!!!

greenie you said you drive a ford right?

^ I agree that Johnson has produced more than Elliot has this season. But then again, Johnson doesn’t have any really good skill players on his team, so you’d expect them to give him the ball more.

When you have to compete with Jason Witten, the going is gonna be tough.

^I gotta admit, Sweep. The Hill and Kelce Connection are pretty exciting.

I very rarely visit AF when I’m not working. But when I do it’s because I knew Greenie would comment on an awesome performance of a Chief’s TE.

(Seriously, I know this place too well. I feel both proud and ashamed.)
