No jokes need some serious feedbacks.

Today i received an email from the CFA institute.The content of the email are as follows:

Thank you for your interest in the CFA Program. At this time, your registration is incomplete. We have received your payment and will need you to complete the online enrollment and registration application which is available at http://www.cfainstitute.org/cfaprogram/process/Pages/index.aspx. Once you reach the Shopping Cart, please contact us and let us know so that we can complete the registration process internally. We can confirm that we have your payment in the Registrations and Revenue Department.

I am really unable to decide how to handle this.Can any one please help me out?.I stay in India and made my payment through “Thomas Cook”.

Well, for starters, why don’t you consider completing the online enrollment and registration application as the e-mail instructs?

I did complete the online enrollment and registration application as the e-mail instructs.I have also informed them via mail that i have completed the online registration process.

Well the CFAI registration fees will increase after 12th of Feb.I made my payment to the CFA institute on 7th via Thomas cook.Thus i almost got a heart attack when i got an email from CFAI that my registration process is in complete.I will kill my self if they ask me to pay extra $340…lol

You should give that $340 to me instead :slight_smile:

I just had a talk with them(CFA Institute’s customer care).They asked me to wait for maximum 7 days to get the confirmation.

Isn’t Thomas Cook a travel agency?

Yes they are a travel agency.I have made all my payments (for both levels of FRM and CFA level1 ) through them.This is the 1st time i received such an email. angry

WTF???

I don’t get it…why didn’t you just make the payment via the CFA website…and yea Numi’s point about labeling things urgent…don’t do that, this is a useful work lesson.

Actually i don’t have a credit card.This is the reason i always choose Thomas cook to make my payments.I don’t know what went wrong this time.

I will not call them “Thomas Crook” since CFAI agrees that my payment has reached the institute.However i am eagerly waiting for CFAI to rectify this error.

Well it is now almost a 10 days and still the CFAI has not updated my account.Whenever i call them up,their representitive gives the same old answer “Sir we are processing your request!!!”.Please advice what to do now?

Need some serious advice guys …please

All you can do is call the institute, explain again what your circumstance is, ask for a update on the status of your account; and ask if they need anything else from you. I don’t think anyone here has any advice other than that; just do as the email requested and you’ll be golden.

I am calling them almost every second day but they are just giving me 1 answer all the time “we are processing your payment,sorry for inconvenience.”

Why don’t you email CFAI and ask for help?

I have emailed them multiple times but have got no genuine reply till now.More over i thought calling them is better as compared to emailing them.
