I think this is one of the most deserving Peace Prizes in a very long time. Very impressed that Canada is granting her honorary citizenship.

As per the website nobel prize is given to a individual who “done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses”.

I really appreciate the courage and dedication of both nobel peace prize winners of 2014 but i really wonder how they qualified for this award as both of them have clearly not fulfiled the criteria prescribed by the above mentioned defination.

I would seriously love to believe it was a joke and your phrase “if she was smart she would have kept her head down.” does not metaphorically suggests that she should “have been smart enough to put her head down against the injustice.”

Lots of kids are left leaning at 17. If she’s willing to take on the Taliban and get shot in the face to fight for girl’s access to education, then who cares if she’s a bit left leaning. . Eventually Americans will get over this anti-socialism attitude. One day maybe they’ll wake up, realise the USSR is dead and that hard-line Islamic fundamentalists are the biggest threat to their way of life.
