***Official Practice Exam Result Thread***

Rising at last! Stalla 67 (66/68) Sch1 69 (66/72) Sch2 72 (71/73) Sch3 74 (72/76) Still got to build up a safety margin, but with 12 days that can be done. I should also increase my posting a lot as I read somewhere there was a correlation between pass rate and active posting :wink: I am going to slay this beast because such is my destiny

stalla? what the hell is stalla?

Stalla => http://www.stalla.com/cp/courses.cfm I did the mock exam on site in Geneva with a bunch of other candidates.

Here are my updated scores in the order I wrote them. Paraguay I have no idea still how you can achieve those nice scores, your a beast of nature. I’ve been trying to get to your levels, but its impossible! Note: The 2009 vol 1 is the same questions as the 2011 vol 2, so the 2011 vol 1 are different questions. End April: Schweser 2009 Vol 1 Exam 1: AM = 65% PM = 67% Schweser 2009 Vol 1 Exam 2: AM = 59% PM = 80% BSAS 2011: AM = 62% PM = 62% May: Schweser 2009 Vol 1 Exam 3: AM = 64% PM = 70% Schweser 2011 Vol 1 Exam 1: AM = 69% PM = 78% Schweser 2011 Vol 1 Exam 2: AM = 78% PM = 77% Schweser 2011 Vol 1 Exam 3: AM = 73%, PM = 83% (Actually the AM is from Vol 2 exam 2 and the PM is from vol 1 exam 3 because they switched stuff around to what I already did) Next week I am going to be writing… 1) CFAI 2008 + CFA Mock 2009 2) CFAI 2009 + CFA Mock 2010 3) CFAI 2010 + CFA Mock 2011 I don’t know if I will have time, but do you guys think it is worth doing the two sample exams and the Schweser Live Mock?? Is it worth it?

BTW i hope you guys are taking past CFA exams… as they are a lot more close to actual CFA test then Schweser

60% on Finquiz Mock PM Overall I though it was tricky, but fair.

Schweser Book 1: Exam 1 PM: 67% Exam 2 PM: 70% Exam 3 PM: 72% Schweser Book 2: Exam 1 PM: 65% Exam 2 PM: 68% Exam 3 PM: 72%

86 on cfai sample exam 1. 70 on cfai sample exam 2. 70 on 2010 cfai AM exam

Just took sample 1: Got a 73%. I was only down 2 by the last two vignettes… got crushed on those 3/6’s… easily four problems I had no business getting wrong Bah

65% on CFAI mock 2010 :frowning:

Guys, shortly, I will be done with schweser book1, CFAI mornings from 2008, CFA samples and mock. I feel like going for some more and was interested in what many of you reported about the mock exams, I would rate them 1- Schweser mock 2- SBAS mock 3- Finquiz mock All of these are costly … not sure which deserves 100$ …

54% CFAI 2007 AM 49% CFAI 2009 AM 54% average on 3 Schweser AM 70-75% average on all PM exams (around 6 of them) I am really freaking out right now, I cant even improve my AM scores. Why do you guys think that is? What do I need to do to bring the AM sections to par with my PM ones? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Firstly, I think you are most likely grading yourself too harshly on the AM section (which is a good thing!) because there is a clear disconnect if you are consistently getting between 70-75% on the PM sections. If I had to guess and other AF’ers can correct me, most probably get like 10% lower on the AM than on the PM. So perhaps you are not giving yourself partial credit on the AM that you should be receiving which puts you are 60%-65%. In mastering the AM section, theres no real trick to it… honestly its knowing all the big key items and then trying to work your way around the smaller items. IPS, Dollar Duration, Risk management ratios, probability / core capital, adjusting futures / beta… those are all 20+ point questions on the exam. If you master those and get 90% on each, thats 90/100 and then just trying to get 50% on the remaining 80 gives you 130 / 180 total. So if you are getting mid 50s, you don’t know by the back of your hand the big calculation questions yet.

I did 2009 AM CFAI today and thought it was quite easy, I would be happy to see this one on exam day. anyway RTFQ mainly question number 1, although it was discussed here I added inflation first and taxes second. I got 70 - 80 % (I graded myself 80% but I think it is prudent to substract several points) btw it took me 2 hours 20 minutes quite in line what schweser practice exams show me when I did my first AM (some schweser) month ago I got 43 %. Keep practicing!

I agree with that 100%. 2009 was easy. The tax issue relates to the type of account.

Stalla Mock Exam AM: 67% PM: 60% Tired in the afternoon and made a lot of stupid mistakes. Also, got almost every 50/50 tossup answer wrong. Would have expected those numbers to be flip flopped.

Just finished Book 2 Exam 2 of Schweser AM: 72% PM: 81% I heard Exam 2 of book 2 was really hard, I found it easier and some other exams. One last mock (Exam 3 of Book 2) to do.

CFAI 2010AM 82 % !! => I BELIEVE!!

Good job. Your gonna rip it come next week!
