Black Swan, Not only too expensive, but also too heavy and too slow. There are 4th gen planes which are faster and do things that f22 can’t do. F22 is obsolete, according to Discovery Channel which made a little comparison. It’s funny, how you think being expensive is good.
And Syria, you are obsessed defending this country’s dictator couple with an obsession of a mentally retarded. Mb you should read op-eds, if you can read
Man, Valores is clueless.

Are you just of the opinion that if you don’t know it already, it can’t be any good? Is that how you approach investing too? I have no idea if it is the best plane or not, but I do know that if I haven’t heard of it before, I’m not going to make a judgement that it can’t be the best until I know more.

F22 is the fastest and most maneuverable fighter the US has manufactured, it is the only one with thrust vectoring apart from the Russian Su-30. It is far and away the most capable a/c out there, although at 150M apiece it costs way too much. Now the thing is, Russia and China are coming out with their own 5G designs, which will likely incorporate lessons learnt by observing the US, perhaps by including things like infrared sensors etc. So in about a decade’s time it is possible that the F-22 will not be as dominant, but we’re not there yet.
Bchadwick, u r obsolete too. Google and wiki - never heard of it? Palantir, no doubt it is the best plane US has manufactured, and prob it is on par with Su 30. However there are better planes than Su30. We are just talking about speed and maneuvers.
Man, I think you should just let it go.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GdfnTLKcvM&feature=youtube_gdata_player Bchadwick, u r funny. While u cry that u don’t know anything, I have already done due superficial research, enough to make the first opinion. Maneuvers, speed, technical characteristics, history, origin, use, price, u name it. Although I didn’t invest that much, but have extensive experience in spying
Palantir, do u really think that the best US is producing is the best in the world?
Besides su37 is multifunctional, it’s both fighter and bomber. It’s funny how u ppl think that everybody who has never heard of f22 is mentally retarded, however u’ve never heard of multifunctional jets. U should be mentally retarded

Su-37 does not exist. It is an experimental model.
Palantir, They are in use. Call them exclusive.
Valores Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Besides su37 is multifunctional, it’s both fighter > and bomber. response: F-35 we’re talking different missions / capabilities here. But I’m not gonna do a deep dive onto this with a rambling lunatic so spies that have inside info on top secret su-37 deployments have never heard of f22’s before and are getting their intel from discovery channel now? manufacturers have made a similar claim to yours valores. They say the upgraded f-18 superhornet has nearly as good speed / maneuverability, great weapons arrays, etc. With “perfect situational awareness” aka, all the 5gen capabilities minus stealth for a fraction of the cost. A pentagon general responded that "Without active stealth capabilities within an integrated air defense network this amounts to perfect situational awareness of the threat that kills you. " (loose paraphrase, that one’s from memory)
Specs don’t matter if you have Maverick on the stick and Goose as your RIO.

A close school friend who is a US Army officer would probably pistol-whip me a couple of times if I’d tell him something as idiotic as “but I saw it on Discovery Channel”.
Really? It’s that bad? Well, I haven’t seen it personally, but I have to agree with them, that speed and maneuverability of su37 is superior. I checked some specialized websites, but somehow I thought for u, mentioning Discovery Channel is more understandable than some specialized websites. I don’t watch TV, and never watched American TV, but u do, don’t u? It’s also funny, how u adore the army. Why didn’t u all go to the army then? Somehow I always thought that the army ppl r dumb-asses only knowing to follow the rules (and then discipline might be their advantage), and the best u can do for yourself is avoid it. That’s the idea I had to grow up with, might be wrong idea, but the ppl from army I know fit well in this description.
I wonder if weapons systems experts have extended message board debates on which complex financial security is better?

Valores, simply put you don’t know what you’re talking about and that’s been demonstrated aptly. The SU-37 is a prototype and as such, no one really knows what it’s actual real world capabilities might have been. It’s like comparing santa clause to the F22. I mean, the thing is not even stealth, that’s such a massive disadvantage in any scenario. We don’t live in the film topgun, maneuverability is almost insignificant when compared to stealth and electronics as well as actual arsenal of weaponry. Beyond that, there really is no direct evidence that either is more maneuverable due to the fact that the su37 has never seen production. But please do, provide the links to these “specialized sources / websites” you keep opaquely referring to. I mean so far in this debate, you’ve claimed knowledge about a plane you never heard of, said discovery channel called it obsolete (which it did not), blathered about all form of unrelated topics and demonstrated an inability to construct complete sentences. And I know this is the internet, but c’mon, claiming to have been a spy, then claiming knowledges of “exclusive” deployments of the SU37 when the program never went to manufacturing is stupid. A nation would never use aircraft in small scale like that due to logistics of maintenance, training and the simple fact that it takes scale to be effective. Having 20 SU37’s doesn’t do anyone any good. The whole thing is stupid. Hippies like you spend your lives depreciating the military and the sacrifices those individuals make until you need your @ss bailed out. Not to mention, my own personal hero, Taleb has in books described the pentagon staff as the only group of “risk managers” he’s ever met that truly understood the nature of risk. High praise from an otherwise condescending persona.
