Derivatives in 2013 PM mock was far too difficult…
especially the currency swap and that 2 period bionimial options question - the question was too difficult to understand where to even begin - if they made it a bit more reasonable and straight forward in plain language then someone who knows what they’re doing could implement the model and come up with the right answer - as opposed to making it so wordy even someone who knows what they’re doing won’t be able to do it
I think that the EOC questions are hard but they are very easy compared to what’s coming in the mocks and probably on the real deal - which is very misleading.
Wrote CFA 2013 AM Mock last weekend scored 63 wrote PM this evening scored 67.
For some reason I’m not too rattled. I thought I was going to do much better on the PM, I haven’t checked to see what was causing me to lose marks. I’m a little too exhausted to do that now.
I don’t think that people should be too be too worried if they’re scoring mid 60’s on the mock. Definitely don’t take your foot off the gas, but last years mock was much harder than the actual exam and hopefully(don’t count on it) this year it’s the case as well. I wrote last year and despite being remarkably underprepared I could tell the test wasn’t too bad(still failed).
Going to write the schweser mock that’s supposed to be live this sunday, will post the results on here as well.
CFA 2012: 59 Morning (but honestly with 5 questions where i did know the answer but i ticked the wrong box) and 74 afternoon (excluding the last 2 questions of ptf on ICAPM which is not on the program). I got 3/12 on FRA…

about 10 or so people 1st hand. I also heard 2nd hand that a lot of the people at the schweser live mock had <50% scores on CFAI 2013 mock. a lot of people found the schweser live mock tough as well.
I don’t recall what I got on the mock. It wasn’t pretty and I would put it in the 50 range. Failed band 6. That’s what studying for level 2 like you studied for level 1 will get you. A nice big serving of humble pie.
You would have worried as well when last year you would hv scored 70 % in same CFA 2012 Mock , & been in band 8 .This year progress has not been great in score atleast.
