got mine!

Babsfrey, CFA…I am not sure that I should update my email signature. I don’t want to appear proud especially to my boss who supported me all the way and would now have to suffer seeing my email signature each day. He isn’t a charter holder. He wrote level 1 sometime in 2007 and after 2 unsuccessful attempt, he had to abandon. Even though he’s asked me recently when I will be eligible to use the title, I don’t want to severe our relationship.

Anyone with advise?

I would advise not quadruple posting the same thing.

And put on the letters.

ditto man. Put on the letters. You earned it, he didn’t. If he is a big boy he will apreciate that & be happy for you.

If he is not a big boy, find a new job.

Thank you guys!

its been a long time coming. See ya!!

just submitted the payment, went back to home screen and CFA is there!

Has anyone out there not yet seen the letters behind their names on the website? I have yet to see my status updated in directory or on my name when I log into the CFAI ebsite. When I go under “My Applications” it indicates that I’m currently under local (Chicago) review with 19 “Decision Days Remaining”. Thoughts?

I went to sleep really early last night and got the CFA mark after my name this morning. What a beautiful day!

Got it…, finally!

You need to have your experience approved and pay your dues before you’ll be awarded the charter, sorry. Could be another 19 days at the worst (assuming it all goes through).

You’re kidding, right?

Need to celebrate with someone that became chartered today. Send me an email and I will send my number and discuss how we are celebrating.

the “high” is gone already!! Time to sign up for either CAIA 2, FRM 1 or Claritas1 #ChasingtheHigh

Use. It. Now. My boss failed level 3 four times and gave up (late 90’s early 00’s when the pass rates were higher). His bitterness has evolved into more/less discounting my accomplishment of passing, saying “lots of people have it” and “it won’t get you ahead”. Really? After passing this is what I hear? While I agree work is what matters, to completely discount it is absurd.

In other words, I’m using it proudly. I earned it, made the sacrifices (as did my family), and passed after 5 years. He didn’t. Don’t feel bad. You accomplished something great. Be proud of it.

this sounds like a trap…
