Yeah must agree…it has a nice sound to it. Just finished updating my Linkedin and resume…
Got an email from the local Wine Society to become a member… may join them- would be a nice way to celebrate this great occasion, with a Sauvignon or a Merlot…Cheers!!!
Did you ever ended up posting the letters? How did the boss take it. If he never even cleared level 1, it’s not like he was even close to be bitter at yah.
I put it up there, used it for a day, and later went to meet him saying that I am considering removing it. He said that I better leave it there, that it is more than most qualifications.
I emailed CFAI about 10 days ago. They said the actual certificate would be mailed in December to the address registered on the account, but I could use the letters after the website was updated
I have a similar issue, my direct boss has been trying to sit for level 1 for ages and has never found the time. I joined the company in February and have worked like 12+ hours since and I still managed to study for level 3 that I successfully passed. So I am sure he feels a bit down because I managed and not him, on the other hand I had a discussion with him and found out that my success had given him the motivation to try his best for December’s L1 exam. This CFA program takes a whole lot of time, as you know, and many people don’t succeed because of lack of time and not lack of intellect.
The value of earning the charter goes far beyond your direct boss’ feelings or behaviour and I think you should be really proud and communicate it by putting those letters after your name in your email signature. And it can also give others motivation, even if they don’t show it.
I know my local society is doing the charter award ceremony sometime in November. From what I’ve heard, you get a physical copy if you attend. Whether or not you attend, CFAI will also mail you a copy at some point after that, so December makes sense.
You are now a CFA® charterholder and may begin using the CFA designation.
As a charterholder, you are part of a global community of investment professionals dedicated to shaping and upholding the highest educational and ethical standards, cultivating fair and equitable markets, and serving investors and the wider public.
It is our goal at CFA Institute to support you with the educational tools, career resources, and networking opportunities you need to uphold these standards, excel in your career, and contribute meaningfully to the global investment profession.
We will mail welcome information to your primary address in the next six to eight weeks and you will receive your printed charter in mid-to-late December. Before you start using your CFA designation on business cards and other promotional materials, it is important to review our trademark usage guidelines.
We applaud you for your diligent work. Congratulations again on your achievement!
