Are people still getting error messages? If so, that sounds like sloppy work from the website’s maintainers. I’m not talking about long/short or pass/fail speculation. In general, a website shouldn’t spit out database error messages to someone browsing it. And this has been around for quite a while now.
For example, I have a buton that reads “Register for the next level” by hitting which I am taken to the massage that I have already registered. Does anyone have this option like mine?
I believe you passed. The normal course of actions should be in my opinion that this bton to exist. Anyway, no one is going to change the interface too many times. By linking that button and having a message that “You have alredy registered for the program” means that once the registration is allowed you can have the option to register for the next exam. As for you since you don’t have such an option clearly means that you don’t need it since you simply PASS. For those of us who have the message I described above the message will be replaced by an option to register.
i also left 25 marks in AM but i have short message. Stop convincing yourself that short is pass and long is fail. There are people with long message who have prelim pass and opposite.
It’s beyond boring now. Just read the first word of your e-mail on Tuesday. Starting with C or W, that’s the biggest hint.
as stupid as it is to debate the error message when all that matters is what comes in the email, it is 100% true that the error message means something. Clearly the website has glitches and based on your status a different error message will appear. But lets be real here, no one is going to go celebrate because they got a certain error message, all that matters is tuesday so quit worrying and just wait for the email
If the error message disappears or changes then surely it’s the last nail in the coffin of any validity to the error message conspiracy of 2015? That would suggest that everyone is suddenly equal?
I for one am hoping is doesn’t mean jack as I’m in the long message camp - my head tells me it’s all a load of rubbish but it’s difficult to pay 0% attention to
If there truly is validity to the great error message conspiracy then this is as big a blunder on the part of CFAI as when they released ‘unofficial’ results for an hour. Also, like Simon, I’m hoping there’s nothing to it cause I’m also in the lowly long message camp.
Also long error message - as much as I want to dismiss this I can’t help but believe there is some validity to it. Its just very suspect that there are 2 different types of errors and a binary test result. Of course having time to peruse this site being slow at work with summer markets just exacerbates the speculation.
Besides that I am 100% sure I passed level 3, and have the long error message, more than one person with the long error message saw their leaked test results and passed.
Perfect example showing why passing the CFA exams means absolutely NOTHING.
Try to change the test center from your account information and if you can not do it permanently that means you really passed your exam. CONGRATULATIONS!
