Should prostitution be legalized??

^ Is that a fact that people are born gay or your opinion?

^ Is making the comparison stupid or was I born intelligent or dumb?

Prostitution, legal or not, will never be socially accepted. It will always carry a negative connotation, similar to strippers. I really find it hard to believe such a profession is still illegal in today’s world. Furthermore, i think the allocation of funds to arrest johns is obsolete and an absolute waste.

The primary arguments against prostitution are that it is potentially exploitative, it contributes to the spread of disease, it’s presence potentially leads to weakened marriage because spouses can pay for sex with others instead of having to negotiate for it with each other. Finally, some people find prostitution disgusting, and like the idea of the state keeping disgusting stuff away.

Although I can see the point of these arguments, none of them really convinces me that prostitution should be illegal these days. Exploitation gets many orders of magnitude worse, when prostitution is illegal. Most disease can be controlled by monitoring, prevention, and medical access. Marriages will still be threatened by affairs whether prostitution is legal or not. Not everyone agrees that prostitution is digusting, and those who do are free not to engage in it.

A lot of our attitudes toward prostitution are inherited from times when the disease problem was much more significant and marriages were structured differently. In some locations, marriage and the rights of women are still more traditionally structured, and disease may be more rampant and hard to monitor, so variations in attitudes towards prostitiution are understandable.

In many ways, men’s access to prostitutes may reduce men’s urges to force themselves on regular women (and men), and may make others more secure.

Personally, prostitutes don’t do it for me, but I do feel that women should be allowed to sell themselves if they choose to do it. Much of the fun for me comes out of the pleasure of a successful seduction. When seduction boils down to showing her some cash, it feels too mechanical to me. On the other hand, I have sometimes wondered what it might be like to spend some real dough on a high class professional who knows what she’s doing and just wondering if it would feel significantly different or better than with the regular women I’ve known. Perhaps some day I’ll do it, but the circumstances will have to be right.

In other news, I recently learned from a mutual friend that an acquaintance of mine used to be a well known dominatrix. I’m not sure what “well known” means, other than that she would have some name like “Mistress Vanna” or something. However, looking more closely at my acquaintance, I can kinda imagine her tying people up and beating them. She is so tiny that it would be kinda funny and humiliating indeed (though I’m not into that, personally).

My roommate sees this girl from college on and off who was studying to be a dominatrix on weekends. He was asking her why she had some bruises and she started to show him. He said some of it is fun. She now has a tag team dominatrix team business she runs out of Brooklyn. I think it’s ~$300/hr. She seems like a sweet girl you wouldn’t know unless she told you (which she’s not ashamed to say).

I plan on buying one tonight so I have some content to speak from.

What’s wrong with being a prostitute?

Is having sex a sin? Having sex with multiple people a sin? Having sex with multiple people for money a sin?

You can tell your daughter No. Just be sure why.

A girl could help people, if that’s her goal, by being a prostitute as well. Nobody complains if you charge money for cooking food (restaurant) or housecleaning or elderly care, all professions in which you help people who can’t cook, clean or take care of themselves.

Prostitutes are just satisfying a basic human need.

Is taking drunk girls home from a bar exploitation? At least the prostitutes are getting paid.

Yes. Here’s a confession: I’m in love with a man. What? I’m in love with a man … a man named God. Does that make me gay? Am I gay for God? You betcha.

Yo Bchad, would you say pimpin’ is eazy?
