Be happy you get to work from home. I got blasted with ice pellets this morning and couldn’t find a cab for 10 minutes. (also in Chi)

^ school teachers earn way more than $25m / year. I had a day of meetings cancel due to the snow that’s headed towards Boston today. Kind of nice.

school teachers where i live make at least $40m

Come on natural gas prices!

I think school teachers cap off around 70- 80 k …this is after 20 years of teaching . Principals can make around 100 k . This is in Toronto area , I would think they make more in the U.S .

Me working from home today - snow should be arriving anytime soon

Teachers pay definitely ranges based on subject they teach, years of experience and public versus private school. Private schools generally pay significantly less than public schools ( at least in the NY area). Many private school teachers do make between 25K and 35K per year. But it sure is nice having the summers off. Other major downside to teaching is only being able to travel at peak vacation times so everything costs more.

Wow they do make more than I thought. Looks like the average is ~45k.

Just spent an hour shoveling and an hour stuck at the end of my driveway. Sweet rear wheel drive. The neighbors came out to help when they saw my mental stablity fading and i threw my shovel 100 feet down the middle of the street.

Where I grew up they make starting 45-50k! That’s only half a damn year!! They can pick up a summer job p/t and pick up easily some extra dough or many have side businesses b/c they are done by 3pm everyday. Admins make 150K plus, and Superintendents (spelling?) make 200k+ and this is public school district. Teachers are WAY too overpaid for # of days worked. They should work more days in my opinion… I’m paying for them out of my taxes.
