I understand you, same doubts here but I was looking to board clock since I did not have my own. Afterwards, I also found that more than one candidate had trouble regarding same case. I made sure my view does not turn anywhere else and I avoided look to the clock on side of candidate is sitting next to me than on opposite clock.
Everything I anticipated and was fully equipped except wristwatch. Next time I will take one for sure. If I did not watching out for time left I will stayed with AM session with over 15 questions not answered.
So, there is 3 possible solution for each candidate:
Pass
Fail
Open PCP case (in best solution waiting for results prolonagted for months)
I think we should relax and wait, what should happen, let happen…
I think this person is lying to you about his score matrix, or got extremely unlucky.
If he got a flat 70% on FRA, equity, FI, quant, derv, eco, a flat 50% on ethics, CF, Port, and got everything in alt wrong, he would get 150 questions right, 6 questions away from passing if MPS is 65%.
@ olaji… Why would I make it up dude? I have better things to do in my life. The guy is one of my closest friends, I saw the score myself. If Im not wrong this happened to him in 2010. In those days 70% used to be the MPS. Over the last few years, MPS has gone down which is why you don’t see these kinda results anymore.
@ singa… I think the results would be released on the 26th of January, that’s my guess based upon the fact that the CFAI usually announces results on Tuesdays.
December Results Timeline Week 8 After eight weeks, Level I exam results are released by email and available on the CFA Institute website. https://www.cfainstitute.org
Has it occurred to anyone that there is more than one version of the exam on test day? Looking at the remarks about the exam(s) and the differing opinions on AM vs PM, what the possible MPS will be and that people can and have passed with varying scores, coupled with the fact that we can’t discuss specifics about the exam, it would not surprise me in the least that there are multiple versions of the exam on test day. That being said I thought the test was very fair and balanced and that PM had a bit more difficulty. I didn’t think there were any deceptive questions on ethics as I have seen on the mock exams. Confident that I passed the AM portion, PM is up for grabs.
Think the exam is the same everywhere, it is just that some location had their AM tougher than the PM, which is contrary to some other locations. That is just the difference, but I dont think the exams are different.
I took the exam for the first time and felt it was okay. PM was definitely harder than the AM session; but maybe I was just exhausted.
Like many of you I counted how many questions I felt I answered correctly. I reckon I got about 60% of my answers correct throughout the exam, and maybe around 20% that I was somewhat sure about but could have gone either way. How do you guys think my chances are based on this? Obviously it’s silly to even do this, but I couldn’t help it lol!
