So where did the plane go?

^You’re confusing rahul with isildurr…although rahul do you live in your mom’s basement?

I am not sure if this sentence of your’s was directed towards me or isdlum…I don’t think that you have any idea of cultural differences.Living with mom and dad is not a taboo thing in South asian countries. We donot throw after parents when they get old, rather we remain with them to take care of them.In India people focus on joint families rather than nuclear ones.

I am not at all saying that people who prefer nuclear families are bad.It is just a cultural thing.

i dont believe his mom has a basement

Weren’t they already in the Vietnam airspace already? wouldn’t their towers get a signal from the plane?

Let’s say they change their course in the uncontrolled airspace and they changed direction undetected by normal avaiation towers, but to say that the military took a week to assemble to information to figure out the plane has indeed changed direction is a bit unbelievable. if north korea sends a fighter jet into uncontrolled airspace over i am sure they are able to detect it right away.

I’m not sure why Malaysia is rejecting the comments that villages in some small remote island saw a big jumbo jet flying flow. Is there real evidence villages are lying? or is this some big cover up?

^ This island is nowhere near the final satellite transmission of the aircraft though (the arc that places it between Kazahkstan and Southern Indian Ocean). It could have happened, but it’s unlikely to be MH370.

Interesting read on the satellite pings, it sounds like this indeed will resolve the case: http://tmfassociates.com/blog/2014/03/17/locating-satellite-pings

The Aussies are searching a defined area at the south end of the arc based upon routes created by analysing the numerous satellite communications received from MH370. They seem to indicate the same is happening at the North end of the arc. Since all you get is distance data from the satellite pings, you wouldn’t know if the plane was heading north or south, so there is equal probability based on that data alone for each of the new search zones. If it’s in the south, the plane is toast. If it’s in the north, things get more interesting.

Yes i do stay with my parents as i am a student.I really donot have any problems in staying with my parents. We are a family of 3.My father is in steel business (he was a supplier of iron and steel in his late 20’s and gradually forward integrated to become a manufacturer. He has an annual turnover of around 30 million USD which is not a huge amount as per US/UK standards but a very good figure in my city.).So my father stays out of home most of the time for his business.I stay at home to take care of my ill mother who is suffering from migraine. Moreover i am a full time student in final year of my MBA so i cannot afford to live alone. How ever i love finance and would want to work in this industry.I may even consider going out of my city for employment if my mother recovers from her illness by the time i finish my education.

My life is quite good even though i stay with my parents.I go to college for 7 hrs a day, then study for cfa exams for 2.5 hrs daily.I always do 1 hr of gym at my home along with 30 mins of swimming.Life is good till now.But please donot think that i am a looser just because i stay with my parents.I chose not to get involved in family business as i want to create a seperate identity for my self and yes if my circumstances permit i will leave my parent’s home to explore better opportunities in finance.

^ Respect. I had to zip off to see my mother in the ICU not too long ago. Shifted my life focus immensly. Scared me to death to think I’d lose her already…

^ I hope your mom is doing fine. Had a similar scare with mine a couple of weeks ago. All is now well though thankfully.

thanks @CFA VS MBA & higgmond and sorry for diverting from the topic ie “missing plane”.My mom is doing fine now and hopefully she will be 100% healthy soon.

She has a migraine because her son refuses to move out

I would like to believe that it was intended to be a funny joke. However i did not find it funny.

My ma is fine, thanks higgy and rr. She’s a tough ol bear.

+1…may god bless her with long and healthy life.

I am sorry but I cannot possibly meet the high standards set by your Jokes thread. You need to lower your expectations bro

LIghten up, that was pretty funny.

Well i started the joke thread with a very honest motive to make people happy. If even 1 person enjoyed atleast 1 of my jokes ,i think my job is done.

Between:Jokes are never good or bad…Its your situation which is good or bad ie you tend to enjoy bad jokes in good times and tend to hate good jokes in bad times.

The US might have many faults, but if they had 160 of their citizens missing, they would take the frontline and take the lead in the investigation. They wouldn’t rely on some backyard country giving contradictory statements.

Bringing this conversation back on track, I still think there was no sabotage. The plane caught fire or suffered some other catasophic mishap, went off course at pilot direction, and eventually crashed in the ocean. Eventually, searchers will find a small piece of the plane and they’ll have their answer.
