I should’nt be so bitter. I can’t imagine that’s easy on you. Plenty of threads have been on general discussion/L1/L2/L3 boards about significant other and wife problems due to this exam.
I actually had to cut myself off of studying at all today to spend some time with my GF… no joke… the CFA is hurting
I foresaw my absence for dinners, lunches, movies …picturing myself cracking FSA n Derivatives instead and opted to call it off in June. I sit in Dec 08.

Preparing for this exam is not like a walk in the park. If gf/bf doesn’t get it, it is because they either have different expectations or don’t feel secure with the relationship. Parting ways now, because of the L1 stress on the relationship, is much better than later down the road, with kids, mortgage, and /or some real life stress (like an illness).

The relationship definitely takes a toll, and so do friendships, but it’s just a matter of a few months, so they should be supportive and understand.
My girlfriend is studying for the CPA so it makes things a little easier… but I do miss seeing her as much as I used to.
tycoon…is a borrowed word from japanese. If so I guess he think he can do better. that poor woman… who am I? I am Miss Miserable, for now.
