Yeah I was shocked to hear about that after I had taken the test in Lahore.
There was a guy a couple rows in front of me who looked like he had not left his mom’s basement in about 8 years that would randomly let out giant sighs and random “oh my god!” as he would start a new item set. Thankfully I had ear plugs and couldn’t hear him that well but other people were complaining.
There was also a really lound wind noise the entire time because the door to the room was left part way open, sounded like a tornado, in the afternoon someone asks the 80 year old proctor if we can close the door to stop the wind howling, the proctor looks at him and says he doesn’t hear anything even though it was loud as shit, everyone laughed but then quickly stopped in fear of the proctor doing something crazy like writing them up.
The key to avoiding all of this, ear plugs, and I saw very few people wearing them which I find surprising
Delhi Center:
>One dude reaches the entry door at around 8 45AM, waiting to be let in. Needless to say, he was asked to f-off.
>Really old man was taking the exam, visually around 65 years plus. That too Level 1. Why would such an old person want to take the L1 exam?
>A lot of people in front of me didn’t stop writing even after they were asked to stop, I guess they got away with a rap on the knuckle because the proctor just asked them to stop writing and proceeded to collect the answer booklets immediately after.
>A lot of people were discussing the questions immediately after the exam.
Crazy.
Girl in front of me appeared to have gotten pretty shaken up during the first part of the exam, and looked like she was about to pass out as she stood up to go to the bathroom, the proctors had to help her, she almost passed out. Went out of the room and came back 5 minutes later and seemed fine. It was odd.
That’s pretty bad! I am assuming you are in Karachi. Is it due to Karachi airport attack? What are they going to do with your exams? The institute cannot let you waste one more year.
in kansas city, all 3 levels were held in the same ballroom with a few hundred people in there. during the lunch break, we all found out the hotel automatic sliding doors to leave were broken and that everyone would need to leave single file through the rotating door.
now i know what herding cattle feels like. good thing i was near the front…
I was in KC, too. Glad I left early both sessions, that would have been a funny sight to see everyone filing through that rotating door.
When I took L1, there was a guy next to me that sounded like he had some sort of communicable lung disease (coughed a lot). Luckily I had nuclear-strength earplugs.
But it evened out - for L2 I had the extremely hot proctor with very little fabric between neck and hemlines. Nice distraction.
Took it in Houston, TX
One of our proctors was a total milf and she kept whispering good luck! and relax! when walking around my table. Both distracting and eye catching. The other proctor you could tell was completely new to CFA procedures and she messed up my seat assignment by not putting the letter on my ticket until after both sessions were done. I don’t know if this will affect anything but still…
One thing I noticed, I took level 1 in the same center in December and I was shocked to see that the December session was way more packed than this past saturday’s session.
I mean December consists solely of level 1 takers and retakers where as June would have level 1, 2 and 3 takers / retakers. But the hall was only about 2/3 packed as it was in December.
no it is quite unrelated to the airport incident which happened after the Actaul exam but there is some news that exam is infact going to take place this coming saturday so there is some hope
Another candidate sitting next to me got an feat attack & fallen off from seat, in PM exam, we all got disturbed for 5 min, all proctor has rushed, medical care person has attended him, I thought in no way he can write the exam, but he taken gatorade & started writing again & he finished the exam, But I was really worry that I will be unable to finish, but somehow finished Just in time with rapidly answering theory questions.
I looked up at one of the proctors and she was passed out sitting in her chair, I saw her head nod off and she woke up just in time to catch her head before it hit the table. It was a good chuckle in the middle of the afternoon session to ease the stress.
We had two proctors in every room. Did you guys have the same?
retaking the level 2 exam what satisfied me the most was that people sitting around me this time very most of them familliar faces from last time around
Boston. In the PM exam after the papers were collected, we as group all sat patiently to be released. Around 5:15 the proctor announces, all right we got them all. Everyone gets up like it is summer vaca in middle school. As we get up, the proctor says “Canadates please stay seated until you are dimissed” just like a principal would the moments before summer break.
There were a few l1 girls far to hott to be taking this exam.
Before the test I overheard a guy talking to the head proctor, he said his wife was pregnant and was due that day! He had a doctor’s note and had made special arrangements with CFAI to let one of the proctors hold on to his cell phone for the test in case he got the call to go to the hospital. As if L2 weren’t hard enough, imagine not knowing if you would have the full time to take the test!
I’ve seen girls take the exam in full make-up and dressed like they were going to some social event. maybe they were looking to hook in someone
Got there early and waited in my car for some last minute review. Opened the car door, locked it and closed it. My keys and phone were inside… Along with my calculator.
Starting asking people for their phone and nobody had one. Finally this guy said he would walk to his car and let me use it. He also gave me his second calculator. I hope the cfa gods looked kindly upon his exam because he saved my ass and car window. I absolutely would have broken it for the calculator.
my sandwich got hot as hell sitting in my car.
Mine too, forgot the ice for the cooler - didn’t eat it for fear of getting sick in the PM exam.
