successful income levels

mattlikesanal meant no harm. bad analogy is all. I can’t believe someone managed to piss off numi.

FYI - in New York City: Rich is considered annual income before taxes of $750,000 or net worth $5MM not including retirement accounts.

Fair enough…as you set straight, she is a woman, and made excellent contributions to the forum. I believe the user name was Taniamadrid. Now back to the previous hijacked thread…carry on. Poor or middle class in New York City is considered annual income before taxes

Good thing we’re talking about New York and not Dallas, otherwise you would see the mother of all inferiority complexes take root on this thread.

^ Actually, I’m pretty sure that you’re the only person on this thread that has any sort of inferiority complex. I don’t see anyone else here misrepresenting themselves as a front-office hedge fund employee the way you do. If you knew anything about finance, you’d realize that by de-frauding others, you’re pretty much digging your own ditch. But hey, if you sleep better at night by spending your entire day as an internet troll and pretending that you work in an industry you know nothing about, then do what you gotta do…

Guess I was wrong, didn’t need Dallas to bring out the complex…

i just shared this thread with my office mates during lunch, some who also post on this board. we couldn’t stop laughing and one of us almost choked on his food. i love all you guys.

Yeah this thread is like Friends, the original cast has stayed together for the entire run and still going strong after 8 seasons/pages. Although it looks like MattLikesHitler might be holding out for a movie role (Inglorious Basterds II?) since he hasn’t made an appearance in a while.

Friends was pretty terrible towards the end. Watching older episodes, the series really hasn’t stood up well over time. It’s just not funny anymore. Maybe it’s just me.

Chandler fell off after his problem. And Rachel, is just hot.

After the show had been running for a long time and the audience had become attached to the characters, they made the plot more character development-driven. So, instead of just random situational jokes, the plots began to revolve around Chandler and Monica getting married, Rachel getting pregnant, etc. I think it was a safe strategy to bet on - relying on the audience’s interest in characters that they “care” about, rather than betting that their writers will be able to keep coming up with great material.

Looking back I cant believe I used to like that show at one point in time.

you guys, you have to keep this thread related to finance. Friends is NOT finance, but fighting with each other about wealth, career success (Hitler or otherwise), jobs, education, experience is definitely related to finance. please keep on topic.

Ross looked like he be good in finance, maybe even getting a CFA

sorry guys. MattLikesChandler had some work to do today.
