The most selective program you’ve heard about.

Top MBA programs have ~9%-11% acceptance rate, similar to that of West Point Academy, and I know some Ph.D. programs that accept about 2%-4% of applicants. Have you ever heard about a program (grad or undergrad) with even a lower acceptance rate?

IITs in India are often below 2%

Yeah. Also my friend’s interior design program had like a 0.5% acceptance rate

IITs and IIMs - impossible competition!

I would take some issue with the language being used here: “competitive” is not the same as “selective”. Simply because you have a ton of applicants you reject does not mean those you accept are all that great.

Yeah, I actually just found a good thread about this topic. For those interested: http://www.analystforum.com/phorums/read.php?1,823153 D@mn, I always complain about lazy dudes who don’t use the search function before posting, and I just did it. Must be my hangover.

@ PTC, right behing you buddy. Met a very cute interior designer (aka. trying to find a rich guy) last night. Invited her to go dancing tonight. I will let you know how it goes. I’m trying to stay in single digits for total sleep this week.

^Good. B@ng her badly and see how things go.

Can’t, seeing the GF in 48 hours, cant have hickeys…anywhere on my body.

Good. Now you and your GF will fight in person doing an annual summary of the arguments.

Give er the old alaskan pipeline

It’s more like nanotube on me brah.

Probably NSFW? Ever hear of the pink sock? or the Strawberry shotcake, lolz all around haha.

naw - look it up at home. I’ll look them up tonight.

NASA’s astronaut corps, just slightly more selective than top MBA schools and IIT. And by slightly, I mean extremely.

Its not really a program, but the Mega Society is the most selective group I have heard about (people with over a 174 IQ). In general, I have heard Harvard Med is pretty hard for mainstream programs to gain admission (~3% maybe?) Mega Society: The Mega Society is an organization of people who have scored at the one-in-a-million level on a test of general intelligence which is credibly claimed by its authors to be able to discriminate at this level. The Society exists to facilitate interaction among its members and to assist them in gaining access to resources to accomplish their individual purposes. http://www.polymath-systems.com/intel/hiqsocs/megasoc/megasoc.html Kevin Langdon (I think he is the head of the Mega Society) writes some crazy articles that really make you think - - if interested check this one out in particular. “Gurdjieff 's Ideas About Man and the Universe” a lecture by Kevin Langdon http://www.polymath-systems.com/phenomen/gurdj/gideas.html

^What’s up dude! I was worry you got killed in some random location in Jalisco, Mexico. Nice read. When I was younger (<20y/o) I was a member of a couple of such societies. Never in that 0.000001 though. They are pretty much useless by the way. After a decade of careless drinking habits I’m lucky I still can drive back home from my job, lol.
