Yep, Def something about them
I suppose I’m just naturally contrary. The office if full of Liverpool fans, none of them are from anywhere near Liverpool, and they make out as if they’re the biggest club in the world.
They’re also the type of fans that don’t watch any football unless Liverpool are playing. there could have been a Bayern Barca champions league final on last night and they’d be oblivious.
they must just be bandwagon fans from the 80s and 90s. Every team’s got them… especially United/Barca/Madrid/Chelsea, even Arsenal to an extent.
I just avoid talking to them about football. They’re the group of fans every fanbase doesn’t want to be associated with.
Who do you guys pull for?
Liverpool FC
Montreal Impact
Inverness Caledonian Thistle. 'mon the Caley Thistle!
Serie A is tough to watch. 0-0 draws are quite common in this league. EPL and Spanish league are so much better in my opinion.
^
Which year are you living in?
4-3 is the new 0-0 in Serie A.
I watched Inter Milan the other day vs. Udinese…0-0
I’d rather watch a 0-0 tie than watch an English team fail at stringing more than 3 passes together.
Anyone who’se bothered watching a bit of Serie A this season will know that Italian defending has gone out the window.
All the defenses apart from Juventus don’t have a clue what they’re doing. It’s like watching Bambi on ice, Comical.
Watch Roma and Napoli, Gung ho going front, Rubbish at the back.
Am I the only Serie A fan here?
I think Serie A is on the rise (although they haven’t showed it in any european competition since 2010).
My beloved JUVENTUS is on the right track to bring back glory days.
AS ROMA is building a great squad that can take europe by storm in the next seasson. They also plan to unveil their brand new stadium 2016 -17 seasson. NAPOLI is also going to renovate their Stadio San Paolo during the world cup seasson.
Two old european power houses INTER MILAN and AC MILAN both have expressed their plans to move out of the San Siro Stadium and build their own stadiums. Both teams have great youth systems. In recently concluded U21 European championsip, which Italy claimed runner up, were mostly made up of Inter milan players. As for AC Milan well they have ‘Hachim Mastour’.
Other teams like Fiorontina, Lazio, Udinese, Parma all have capable players to challenge the scudetto.
Hopefully all these teams can help to build coefficient ranking and get back the fourth champions league spot that we missed in 2010. Cos Serie A’s got so much to offer to the european game.
Forza Juventus!
Forza Serie A!
Forza Italia!
Serie A is a curious case, The stadiums lie half empty apart from Italian ultras because the ticket prices just aren’t in synch with the Italian economy right now. Juve’s stadium is that of a mid-table England side. However Juventus are Juventus and will always stand on the shoulders of giants.
The league cannot afford the top talent in terms of transfer fees or wages so they have to circumvent that. Portugal did it by relaxing labor laws in the name of ‘exceptional talent’ and getting cheap S.american players at a young age, developing them and selling them on at a high price. Italy will have to do something similar to compete at the high stage.
I like napoli though, check this out

Everyone loves totty, especially posh ones
I quit watching Italian football 3 or 4 years ago because offense/defense only played in the attacking thirds of the field. Was like watching half court offense in basketball. Boring. Has it changed? If so may take another look.
It’s amazing to see how far Italian football has slumped. I can’t believe that the stadiums are half empty?
Juve are going strong and Napoli seem to be building a good team but Milan and Inter have definitely dipped.
Well during the crisis season the stadiums were half full. But according to a new report published by gazzetta dello sport, the attendance rate is getting better. It’s not mainly due to the bad economy that the stadiums were half full but most fans are angry toward their own club for selling thier best players. This will fade away as times go by. Italy has the most passionate football supporters,as Gianni Agnelli once said life is all about SEA, FIAT and JUVENTUS, they always demand the best from the team they support.
Italy has lost half a million industrial jobs and 35% of their youth population is unemployed. Good luck getting those people back to the stadium even if they aren’t ‘angry at their own clubs for selling their best players’. Their Tv deals aren’t structured right , their merchandising is poor, the game is rife with corruption and they’ve lost their 4th spot in Europe to Germany.
Inter Milan and AC Milan have been running in red for the better part of a decade, One is subsidised by a billionaire, the other by a corrupt Italian prime minister. They both are also struggling now. That’s not exactly a healthy way to run a league.
Strootman and Gomez are not the upper-echleons of talent in the world. Strootman might get there but he was a young player who was unproven which was my point about the type of players they should be targeting. Higuain was a one of because they sold Cavani and no one was ready to touch Tevez because he’s a crackpot.
Italian clubs will always command respect because of what they’ve done for the European game and Juve and Napoli are well run clubs who have a plan. The jury’s still out on AS Romas venture capitalist owners. It’ll take 5-6 years with proper planning for Italian Serie A to go toe to toe with La Liga and BPL and the Bundesliga isn’t going anywhere either.
Napoli should be great going forward, talented squad and a great manager.
So who else is reading commentary…?
Man U did well against Bayern tonight. Welbeck really should have tucked away that 1st half chance. Valencia was lucky to stay on the pitch
