WORD UP…I LOVE THIS THREAD. Gotta love a question where all three choices are argued vehemently.
Mature
definitely MATURE
Yes, 2 months later, I’m sticking with mature. What was the other question that there were knock down, drag out fights about? (I can’t remember much of anything that was on that awful POS test)
don’t know why we are still arguing about it…there was a question in Schweser (there’s the arguable part) that was word for word like this question…above average growth, but is coming down. Answer was mature…I got it wrong on the practice test and was pissed off at the answer…but it is what it is.
Contango seemed to cause pretty serious emotions

That would be a nice way for the CFAI to screw the Schweser users. Find a question that Schweser addressed and make it extra ambiguous with a different interpretation (and answer). At this point, who knows really? I will say that throughout the thread, the other two answers seemed to have more reasoning behind them (based on the CFAI Text). But there does appear to be a reasonable basis for any of the three depending on the context of the question. Contango was also garbage.
His name is Henry Paulson!!!

Maybe someone can volunteer to call CFAI and see if they could find out the answer after results come out. I do know that when I first did that question, I chose Transitional and there was an explanation of why it was wrong. But everything has been blurry since d-day.
^^I agree. No way to know for sure. I call not-it on calling the CFAI though.
Not-it
Not-it
i called. they texted me back “normal backwardation”, whatever that is.
Oh god here we go again.
VinceMTL Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Still time to report ambiguity on the exam… > > http://www.cfainstitute.org/cfaprog/resources/exam > details/testcomments.html cfai does not like candidates discussing exam questions after the exam claiming the integrity of the exam prcoess may be compromised. but if we did not discuss the questions, in such a probing manner as this “transitional” question, how are we to reveal, find and report ambiguity on the exam, unless we discuss with other candidates?
GROWTH…yee haw (General Lee car horn in background) (For those of you old enough to remember the Dukes of Hazard)
Growth
mature
The correct answer is “moops”
immature
