Classy move BS. Being laid off does suck
Agree, that was harsh.
I do appreciate how Trump speaks. He literally says so little in so many words, its fantastic. Everything is “the best” haha. He literally sounds like his core audience is a bunch of toddlers
Trump would also reduce taxes for the poor. One notable feature of his plan is that those who would be exempt from paying any income tax — individual taxpayers with incomes less than $25,000 — would receive an additional, one-page form from the Internal Revenue Service with a space to write the words, “I win.”
Trump has also said repeatedly that the government should have more leeway to negotiate better prices for drugs prescribed to Medicare beneficiaries, and that by doing so, the government could save as much as $300 billion a year. The government only spends about $78 billion a year on prescriptions, however.
Trump has repeatedly called global warming “a total hoax.” The theory, he claims, has been propagated by the Chinese to hamper U.S. industry.
Igor’s really mad about this.
^i like trumpster
If the guy can save us $300B on prescriptions, we’d be getting paid a fat check for $222B from BIG PHARMA. And people wonder how he’ll balance the budget. What a businessman!
He did later clarify that the $300 billion would be over 10 years, not annually. Still not a supporter though.
Ha ha, the whole thing was bizarre. That dude Swan was yelling at a guy who’se viewpoint was in the same spectrum as his give or take a few degrees and he finished off his argument by naming a country that follows the system he is defending to a T as an example as to why it doesn’t work. Made no sense.
Anyway, I see Trump continues to defy expectations and has basically made a joke out of his challengers in the Republican party. Where is his support base coming from? I don’t get it. Surely, even in America there aren’t these many xenophobes? Even accounting for the support he gets with his rhetoric about blocking manufacturing from leaving which has presumbly hit the smaller cities hard it still doesn’t explain how he’s hitting these numbers.
If it’s Trump vs Hillary, it’s going to get nasty as hell with all the shit about Vince Foster, Benghazi, FBI, Whitewater devpt. corporation and the deal with the Qataris. Considering the fact that Bernie still polls better than Clinton against Donald there must be a few Dem. party leaders asking the question as to whether they might be better of with Sanders?
Crazy really, can’t wait for the clown car to get started.
^ Sanders vs Trump would be an embarrassment to the nation. Seriously, the world would be laughing it’s ass off. A trust fund reality TV star/brand developer vs a loonie socialist. The two greatest political minds the U.S. is offering for selection to its highest office.
Lol, It would certainly reflect the extreme polarization of politics across the democratic world. I haven’t followed this election much so I don’t know anything about Bernie but from the few soundbites I hear he’s apparently anti-gun, pro-abortion, for free education and wants to invest in infrastructure and clean energy as well as bringing Wall Street back in line? If all that is true they’d probably welcome him in quite a few places across Europe.
What’s loonie about him?
^ Fair. He’d be a moderate in France I guess.
When you tell people that you will bring jobs back and make their life less miserable. Why won’t they vote for this guy? Has anyone promised to do so? Honestly, China is ripping off America in trade. Why do you need to import so much from China? Don’t you have technology? Don’t you have talent in America? Wait!! Higher wages. Ah ha! So, should you buy everything from countries which have lower wages. Fucking joke. Everyone knows tricks and tactics of China. Just watch documentary - Death by China. This explains how China literally destroyed millions of American jobs and now they are coming after service industry. Good luck. Why China? Do we see China contributing to this world? Okay, millions of Chinese got out of poverty. Wait! By pushing millions of Americans into poverty. Hundreds of thousands of college graduates can’t find jobs. Student debt is rising. Graduates are working in shitty jobs. Unemployment rate of 5% is a fucking joke. Jobs are going overseas every single day. I don’t know whether Trump is good or not. I don’t know. Fuck him. But my point is everyone knows day by day college education is becoming irrelevant because most of people already know that they will end up in dead end jobs. And if someone promise them that this will change, they will vote for.him for sure. They don’t care what Trump think about South Korea or China. They want jobs. That’s it.
Because American business benefits from cheap chinese labor, and American politicians are in the pockets of American business. From a strictly economics perspective American households should benefit from the decreased price of goods, but when all thats left are McJobs there is a valid question about long term drivers of the american economy.
Well, China also buys a ton of iPhones, Coca Cola, Avengers DVDs, GM cars, or Kanye albums. If you erase Chinese trade, every US industry will crash.
As for US economic drivers - well it’s all of the above. Sure, US auto workers and such will be phased out eventually. But now, Google engineers or other new upper income people can pay for expensive hairdressers, SoulCycle trainers, Uber drivers, or all sort of other service providers.
Some pockets of the US will do poorly in the economic shift - if you live in Flint Michigan, yeah you’re boned. However, what is the evidence that overall, the job gains from international trade do not outweight these losses?
Is it too late for someone to run as an independent?
