Vegas or SF?

What about Halloween in vegas? Any crazy parties?

I don’t think they have casinos in thailand (at least I’ve never seen one). Mccau is kinda lame. Although Hong kong is awesome.

How does Vegas compare to most non-US citiies? I mean there are lots of places in the world filled with hot chicks where you can drink all night. Take Stockholm, Berlin, Hell most of Europe for instance.

Barcelona, Prague, Budapest and Tallinn… I might add

It’s a different experience. I wouldn’t call it the best way to spend a week, but it is the best bang for your buck party. I can fly east coast to vegas for $300 dollars. Hotels are cheap because they’re subsidized by in house casinos. I’m going to New Orleans in October from Pittsburgh. The entire trip will be more expensive than a trip to Vegas for an equivalent period of time and Vegas hotels are absolute baller. I mean, the classiness of Barcelona or the nightlife of Tokyo or Hong Kong are different in their own right. Vegas is a little more based on skin deep surface appeal, but it’s still massive and awesome.

Sometimes you just have to enjoy superficial for superficial’s sake. There’s nothing wrong with it, as long as you don’t irretrievably lose touch with reality.

It’s not just booze, clubbing, and gambling in Vegas. There are world class restaurants (including In-N-Out Burger), shows and shopping as well. I’ve been going to Vegas for about 12 years now and what I did there when I was in college vs what I do there now is drastically different but no less fun.

In-N-Out burgers are legendary. My first In-N-Out experience was 15 years ago in San Ramon, CA, a sleepy little town in the bay area.

Do you really have to to go to Vegas for it though?

That’s actually the closest one to me (I don’t think there’s one in TX yet). So, yes, yes I do.

Edit: I don’t live in TX, thank god. That would just be closer than Vegas. Still would go to Vegas for In-N-Out over TX.

Didn’t know that In-N-Out is that good. I will go there for sure. I’ve spent a few hours last night to decide where to go/hangout/eat/watch, man, there are so many places to go…

Ok, what nights are you there (ex. Thurs-Sun) and what time do you get in and leave each day?

The time to go to Vegas is Thanksgiving. Nothing but hot ex-pats.

On SF vs LV, which of the below DBs do you prefer:

SF

LV

Didn’t I make a thread about burgers including In N Out and get ripped last year? Now In N Out is great food? OK

They make good burgers but their fries are terrible. They’re these little tiny shoestring potatoes. When they fill up the container at least half of them are one inch or smaller. Too difficult to dip. They remind me of those potato sticks that came in the container. Five Guys fries are where it’s at.

Lol

Never had In N Out before. They don’t have any in Chicago as far as I know. Will check in out in LV next time.

Is that Tommy Lee representing SF?

I will be arriving in Vegas Tuesday night and leaving on late Saturday night. I did some research last night and would like to visit: Fogo de Chao, Ichiza, Cirque du Soleil - The Beatlese LOVE, strip club/bars you mentioned previosuly. Also, a bunch of restaurant and bar…

I would like to check out Grand Cayon area as well, and it seems like I will have to drive for a few hours. What’s the best way to enjoy? Thanks again.

Fogo exists in a lot of cities. Its good, but there are WAY better restaurants or steakhouses.

Man… 4 days in Vegas? I’d need a pool/massage day in the middle just to survive. AFter 36 hours in that city I am pretty much done.

The Beatles LOVE is awesome. Go to a discount ticket broker for the best deals (there’s one in the Fashion Show Mall) and be sure to sit in the upper section (cheaper and better views since so much happens above the stage anyway).

I’d scrap Fogo if I were you. Too many other great places to eat to go to a Brazilian BBQ place. If you’re going to go to a chain for good steak just go to Capital Grille (don’t do that either).

For gambling I love Caesars in the morning (great mimosas), and the Bellagio at night. But if you want to slum one night, go to Bill’s Gambling Hall - formerly the Barbary Coast. Cheap tables and a fun crowd.

I’m going to Vegas mid October. Let’s hope the town is still standing after my boys and I get crunk and disorderly. Hid yo wife, hide yo daughters, cause CFAvsMBA and crew will be representing.

You bringing Franky with ya?
