I’m a senior analyst working in corporate finance for a financial services company down here. Do common stock valuation, forecasting income and cash flow, investor presentations for rating agencies and potential private equity investors, etc.
Not to be a downer, but my friend’s company not only pays for him to take the CFA exams (taking the test is mandatory - passing is not) - that includes Schweser, registration, classes if need be, but also PAYS HIM IF HE PASSES. $5,000 for passing level 1, $7,500 for level 2 and $10,000 for level 3. WTF!
Wow

Hey monger187, Can I email you personally? Currently, I work as a product manager for a global asset management firm, but I am looking to get into the investment consulting roles. Had some questions… If that’s ok, please email me at kellyc319@gmail.com Thanks!
You guys too …cfa_b’more and all_in_with_aces. If possible can i email you guys about my questions in regards to investment consulting jobs. I appreciate this.
i am into Market research/Marketing/Sales. Although finance is used for investment decisions but i am not into finance industry. Working for Oil and Gas. . i guess i am the odd one out. Thinking should i give level 3 this time or wait till i get some finance experience.
I run the commodities research team for a power company.
ETF and Closed-end Fund research currently. Have also done Equity research and Portfolio Management. My nickname is Mr. Awesome, which is well deserved, in my opinion.
I’m an IB Analyst for a small M&A firm. I have a feeling Level 3 is hardly going to be applicable to what I do considering the PM weighting.
I work for a large technology firm in product planning and management. Nothing to do with Finance. But, I am extremely interested in investments largely due to a short internship stint at a major buy-side shop. Looking to move into some financial analysis role.
