I’ve haven’t been on one before, but I’ve heard from friends that have that Disney does a great job with little (<12) kids. Non-stop activities and games for the kids while we’re on the ship so the wife and I can relax. And really, that’s all I want to do.
Atlantis is more upscale, but I don’t think my youngest is old enough to really appreciate it. Nor do I want to spend >$10k for what’s essentially a water park.
And remember that what you NYC’ers think is “middle class” is upper crust to a lot of people. EG - I have a upper-middle class house. 3000 square feet, four bedrooms, three baths, 1/2 acre with backyard. Monthly payment (including insurance and taxes) = $2,100 per month. An equivalent condo in Brooklyn would probably cost five times that. (Just guessing)
And I have my own driveway. No looking for an hour for a place to park.
I remember that ride. It was so realistic. I was given “jesus juice” and then got to take a nap with a virtual reality MJ. It was so real I could almost feel him inside beside me.
I’m pretty sure there will be a whole series of new Star Wars movies, plus a whole range of cartoons and TV series that will keep kids engaged through 2018. No parental intervention will be necessary due to the magic of Disney’s marketing department.
Not to hijack this thread or anything but has anyone been to Italy? What stuck out the most? My former manager is Italian. She has a small house/villa from her grandmother that she is renovating. She has been a reference for me a couple of times and I want to give her a small gift. I was thinking a painting but I don’t know if that seems too tacky. Any ideas?
Even better, you can fly to IAH or DFW on United or American and then straight on to pretty much any destination in Europe, Central or South America without transferring again. I even searched for you and it’s not any more expensive than leaving from any other city that transfers through Houston or Dallas.
I don’t care if you travel or not, but I think you should just admit you have a fear of leaving Midland.
After you live in Tokyo it’s nice to see others but you really can’t live anywhere else and be satisfied. It’s clean, efficient, reliable… good food, entertainment, and if you’re really sick of the city it’s easy enough to go outdoors. Only thing I hate about Tokyo is the weather. I want to move back in ~3 years.
I think I would like London though, judging from the 3 days spent there haha. I don’t think I could do Paris.
I didn’t get a chance to go to Barcelona but heard so many fun stories. Def want to visit one day.
No one’s mentioned northern Europe? I’ve only spent time in France and Italy in Europe, what is Northern Europe like in comparison?
I remember like 5 years ago when the real kept appreciating and Brazilian bankers ended up being paid the most out of any country. However, then their economy fell off a cliff and their currency dropped by 50%. So now, I guess it is not so good…
