You get the LevelUP Focus Package before hand. Most of them went out in an earlier batch. I think with you being in Australia, it could take weeks to be mailed over there. You may want to pay extra to have it AIR expedited, I would ask Marc if he could do this for you. I think he’s teaching in Dallas, TX right now at DWF for Schweser.
From a cost perspective unless you are going to Boston for vacation too, Omaha is a 1/3 the cost vs staying in Boston. If Boston, the Hyatt and the Kimpton (Nine Zero location) are in walking distance to the Bootcamp but are $313+ a night.
I actually want to switch class to Boston but the hotel fees are making me think twice. However, if someone wants to split the room fee or lives in Boston and wants to make a few extra hundreds and offset the course fee, I would be happy to figure something out. It needs to just be a professional person, a couch would even work. Message me if interested. I like to go to the Bootcamp as soon as possible to get the 10-yr binder, other study material and have Marc kick up my intensity gears. Loosing concentration…
Thanks man that would’ve been awesome. I’d say maybe next time, but I only want to return to Boston to watch the Celts play! btw Ray Allen and KG are 2 of my fav players of all time.
Finally got signed up for the Omaha session. Will wrap up my run through the CFAI EOCs in the next week or so, and looking forward to getting the focus material so I can get in some work on it before the camp. I think 4 days of great instruction and tips, and isolation where I can focus only on the exam and determine my weakest areas will really help with the last month of prep.
whatsyourgovt, I think you should rent your Boston apt to SynCFAL3 and I while you’re in Vegas…lol I will keep SynCFAL3 inline since he “hey man” me and sounds young lol.
I did that one year, I was in Vegas and was studying up in my room for two nights! Great dedication guys and gals, go all the way, spare nothing or jump the roof…just kidding.
Congrats on a great decision! Omaha is very easy going. By the way, Word on the street is that there will be a competition between all 4 LevelUp Bootcamps for the Highest Class Pass Rates!
So it’s the LevelUp Boston Bootcamp vs New York’s vs Omaha’s vs San Fransisco’s Bootcamp!!! From the people saying where they are going…Let’s play BALL```
Hahahahaha!!! So how many points do I get if I’m a Ninja??? Lol But Thanks, I’m a BIG FAN of Marc’s BootCamps, went to his thing at Level 2 too. Nothing makes me happier than to see n hear my friends have passed L3 and totally done with this insane suffering. Being an adviser by trade, this is THE BEST advice I can give anybody on this forum, 20x more helpful and directly linked to people Passing than me answering 300 random questions on here that won’t be tested. It does suck that in the prior years I have strategicly coach a few people who passed where I didn’t by my own issues, but the more success there is the better!
Also I can’t stand the Swchwesseals, their material continuously diverge from CFAI in coverage n details, L3 is the worst! Their 3-day review sucks like water down wine and they make money off candidates failing. Technically if you took Marc’s Bootcamp n fail (God forbid), you won’t have to go again the next year bc you will know exactly what you have to do next time plus u got all the material he gave already less updates. Greatest bang for your buck with multi year value. But my 2 cents for anyone listening. Years ago this forum convinced me to do the CU Bootcamps, I’m returning the favor
…and when I’m not a Ninja by night, I’m a farmer by day. So how many points for a farmer?
^ A Farmer seeking CFA? that doesnt make sense unless you farm weed.
Wait a minute, you are bashing entitlement, and you’re a farmer, you must be a redneck from the south. That’s worth 1 Million points. You’ll be the first CFA certified redneck gal. CFA charter will look beautiful hanged next to a shot gun and a moose head. I’m so proud of you.
Lets at least be more correct if we’re going to call me a redneck:) I will be the first CFP, CAIA, CFA Redneck Gal!!! I would be sooooo happy and I’m sorry God I ever said you were “Good On Drugs” and was an Athetis all my life.
But to be more serious, there is a peace and oneness with the earth in “farming”. Unfortunately I don’t have a green thump, would have to hire someone for that, but I am very good with animals. So no, I only shoot people, not animals. I do confess to walk my giant dog with a license to conceal and carry bc we are in a major city. Urban farming is very fascinating, my new hobby. I’m actually in the clear with all City Ordiances and well within my legal limits to keep some farm critters as written. Thank God we don’t live in an HOA anymore, I would get a letter everyday…lol
There’s a reason why many of my clients and retired folks with serious money retire to an estate on an old farm. But why wait, live without regrets, operate fr the highest level of yourself. You never know when there’s an early recall on your head.
For this exam, put in SUPER HUMAN effort and accept help from others, every bit helps.
Audacious has great sense of humor! To some point, I’m just here for the humor.
anyone let me crash in at SF? Godism17, why don’t you recycle Marc’s old materials?
I start to see some strategies but it takes too much time. How Marc course will help with my remembering all this bunch of terms and get through the tricky exam wordings?
Just registered for the 5/7 - 5/10 Omaha bootcamp. However, I have not received my ticket in another email. Start to get anxious. I hope I could secure a place in Marc’s bootcamp!
Miamia: Out of respect for Marc’s human capital, we have all committed to not resell or share his material, old or new. You just have to go to the LevelUP Bootcamp and get it yourself. That man works hard for us and all the candidates respect that.
Marc can help demystify a lot of the content like the options, swap duration and why we are doing what we are doing but it does all come down to practicing. He will show you what to practice, what to hit hard… like getting a map to the treasure but you still have to do the work to get there and dig it up. It’s not a magic bill but does clear up a lot of things like the required return after tax/before tax nominal or real cal on the IPS. He has a great method/package on that.
Marla, Le Méridien San Francisco (next to the place), the Hilton or Omni are all in walking distance per Google maps. If you can go to an earlier bootcamp I would.
tkt: Omaha can handle a big class so I think you will be ok. If you have the time and money, truly the best investment to help you pass L3. Do come back from class and write what you think of it.
