I reread the thread - I could not find one 2nd time taker(who applied and withdrew) who has two boxes…I find that odd
How far in advance of the results was that tell viable?
It seems like if they already had it in the system now whether or not people failed, they could send Level 3 results out along with Level 1 and 2.
@analystDC nobody has gotten the ineligible to apply message people got last year. This is/was a brand new theory. This one states if you apply for a scholarship and withdraw you will see one of two things on the Your Profile page. 1) A box that says Access Scholarship even though you have withdrawn - Fail or 2) That Access Scholarship box will not be there - Pass. There isn’t really as much of a logical connect to this theory as there was to last year’s theory IMO. It feels like the theory holds less and less weight.
Best I can tell from last year’s thread a couple of days. It wasn’t this far out from what I gather.

L2 guys are a larger bunch and none of them was able to see 1 box after withdrawing
I’m a L2 retaker, and see 2 boxes (“Your CFA Program” and “Access Scholarship”) after withdrawing 3 times. Did not apply last year.
i am a 1 box believer. i did bad but luck on my side. i have passed and the moment will be glorious.
Don’t tempt fate man. Believe in the hard work, sweat and tears you put in (minus the tears). Believe in your performance on the day, believe in faith and luck. But certainly don’t believe in some stupid tell, 3 weeks out when the MPS hasn’t even been set and the middle 50% are still to be graded again.

blasphemous redditor. there is but 1 box
1 Box to rule 'em all.
Re-grading is done in week 5 according that document. We are in week 7 now.
Once they set the MPS, they take a bunch of papers that were right around the border and re-grade them, “giving them every opportunity to pass” - so while the mass re-grading might be done, there is more yet to be completed. This was from one of the CFA grading videos I watched. Makes no sense to re-grade the borderline candidates before they set the MPS obviously. And according to the timeline, next two weeks are ‘quality control’. Bottom line is simple - the results are not out yet. This is clearly not a tell. Everyone can apply for a scholarship, so we all failed? Or we all passed? Bullshit. What’s funny is that Level 3 of this program teaches us to NOT put any stock in something like this. Confirmation bias, framing bias, survivorship bias, time-period bias, data mining - they’re all clearly in action right here. Anyhows, since we are separated in two groups, I’m happy to be riding with the big guns and hey, maybe all the 2-boxers failed. Nobody’s perfect.

who are the big guns?
also def data mining going on here.
been reading this thread for a while. Here is my experience and I think it creates a big question. I unknowingly submitted a scholarship application back in 2014 without realizing I was submitting one. Never followed up on it and it eventually expired (its status shows up as EXPIRED). So for all my levels I have seen that access scholarship page etc. Now this year back in June, I started a new application and withdrew it right away to test out the theory. I still saw the 2 boxes. Then, I tried it out again on 18th July and still see the two boxes.
So my question for all 2 boxers is whether they have applications from previous years with a status of anything else other than 'Withdrawn". I feel my ‘expired’ status for a 2014 application is keeping this link for me/or not.
I am a first time L3 taker.
There is still something going on - we don’t know if it relates to a pass/fail. We have a sample size of people performing the same action yet they get different results (1 box / 2 box)…there has to be variable for this difference.
I think it is possible that the MPS has already been set given the early release of 2015.
Also - I have yet to see a 2 time taker with 2 boxes - that somehow could be the variable.
Also, any first time takers who applied and withdrew and ended up with one box? Haven’t seen that either
That was me a few days back. I am retaker which started off with 2. Applied and withdraw. And still 2 box
Then I tried again the next day and it became one box.
Interesting - maybe they are batching the results - once your results are uploaded - you become a one boxer

hmmm, my last name starts with a B. but more likely done by candidate #. i took level 1 in 2010 (took years off and failed L2 once and L3 once). so i guess i would have a low candidate #
I would think ordering it by last name makes more sense than by candidate number?
My last name is Li. Retaker. Did the application withdraw. Saw a 1 box and no scholarship link.
Failed L3 last year and didn’t get the “you are not eligible to apply…” message and was a 2 box.
