Of course, there is a latitude pattern. Southern Asia, Southern Europe, Southern America…it’s lazier the further South you go. But I don’t work with those people, because they can’t do anything for me, because they don’t have any money, because they are lazy.
Mexico is clearly the exception to that rule of thumb. I know because everyday I hear on TV that all Mexicans, particularly those who come to the US illegally, are the hardest working people you will ever find.
I’m convinced this is the ghost of QQQBee come back to troll analyst forum and get his due revenge. Seriously though, the level of your ignorance and arrogance never ceases to amaze me.
Ummk, can’t guess at what is “ignorant and arrogant” about it though. Tardiness varies by culture, fact. And there is a relationship with geography, fact since different cultures sit in different geographic locations. And there is also a relation with completed work, meaning results, and thus wealth.
I think that is a mischaracterization. I would not say that Chinese are lazier than French or Germans, yet the Western countries have much higher GDP per capita than Asian countries. The wealth is a function of development over the past few hundred years, due to immigration of people and technology from Renaissance areas.
I’m one of the last persons to parade for PC so not sure where you’re going there…
It’s arrogant and ignorant because your posts are extremely presumptuous and show a real lack in understanding of how things work even in some of the most time sensitive areas (NYC, London; admittedly I can’t speak for Germany) and industries (e.g. banking) of Western countries. Reflecting on this a bit more from my prior experiences and banking/research/sales teams, I remember now even in Hong Kong and Tokyo that I have seen some level of tardiness pass as OK to meetings for reasonable excuses (late train, prior meeting went over, some major life item, etc…). So don’t peddle that East vs. West BS you usually do.
I’m also puzzled that you’re connecting timeliness, geography, and culture as driving forces of solid completion of work and ultimately wealth. I don’t disagree with those driving forces nor that America et al. needs improvement (as does everyone). It’s just perplexing because the places you imply that lack these driving forces are also some of the most wealthy places on the planet on a per capita basis, as well as the some of the most productive.
I like a variety of opinions, even if I strongly disagree with them. That said, in this case I’m calling you out because I think that you’re full of it and on another one of your tirades against America for whatever reason.
No way your average chinese is lazier than the French. the Chinese are clamoring to work long hours in a city factory while your average French worker wants 30 hour work weeks, months of paid vacation, and a pension
we just ignore him. in reality he was rejected by everything and everyone here in the US, which is why he went to Canada. his paat rejection fuels his subconscious need to bash anything American that comes up. he finds comfort in trolling AF and anyone that gives him attention. the real joke is actually on him because he thinks people actually give a crap what he says
^ This is a very American way of thinking; that anyone who points out American shortcomings “couldn’t hack it in America and got kicked out”, or “must be jealous”. LOL
Indeed. My personal favorite is when fratty douchebags start yelling they hate us coz we’re #1. No buddy, we just think you’re annoying and don’t like you very much.
I mean if you guys just ignored it and did your own thing it would be cool but getting so defensive, nationalistic and patriotic just makes us all want to rip you even more.
PA and monkey dude need to get a room already. I’m convinced that even if they’re hetero it’d be a brokeback mountain scene pretty quickly as they discussed how much they hate “Murrica”.
Pointing out objectively how America sucks, is not “hating”. Notice how 'Mericans always need to reframe things, shift the conversation to someone’s personal bias, to keep from looking the truth in the eyes. How is decades of denial working?
I would say, in one form or another, every American I know is critical of their own country. You have your overly patriotic fellas, sure, but I’d say in 2016 they are by far the minority and not the norm. “Decades of denial” is pretty clearly just something you’ve made up.
