I think the one that through me for a loop the most was this Kuwaiti I dated that told me she’d banged her “hot cousin” which took me a day or so to wrap my head around but then I just chalked it up to cultural differences like how French people eat horses and put it aside.

Yeah, she was referring to first cousin. I looked into it in the aftermath of that convo and apparently it was common in the US and Europe until laws were passed to discourage it I think sometime in the 1900’s. It then continued with some prevalence in Italian and Jewish circles among others into the 80’s. I think the guy in Wolf of Wall Street, there was also those two characters in The Godfather.

I think there are likely a surprising number of people whose first experiences are probably with a cousin.
The “why” they participate in the deviant behavior is extremely important. A good time, fine, but a lot of these types are seeking affirmation and/or have real insecurities and other detrimental psychological characteristics. I double teamed a girl on her 21st birthday. She fell into the good time category. I still keep in touch and know her husband, but turning out stable is not the norm. Simply, most women have different motives for this behavior than men

I agree with Ghibli that the why is fairly important.
If the why makes me think that she is likely to give me diseases and such, that’s a problem. If the why makes me think she’s going to cheat on me, that’s a problem. If the why is going to make me think she does wild stuff with others, but it’s missionary-only and no imagination with me, that’s also a problem. If I’m expecting to have a political career (not my case) and there are photos out there, it’s a problem.
Outside of those reasons, if she has some wildness in her past, I tend to look at it as signaling that we can get wild at times. I consider that a good thing.
But that’s just me. I know that there are people here who have problems imagining that their girl has ever done anything with someone else, and I’m sure that this would be a big issue with them.
^I think it’s instinctual that most men would prefer not to think about it. But, given we are self aware, I choose to rise above and recognize the hypocrisy in having issues with a woman having a healthy sex life prior to me.
I don’t like to visualize it. That’s true. But I can compartmentalize it and accept it without needing to visualize it.
Plus, I accept that I have a past that she might not like to visualize, so it’s part of the deal of having a relationship.
