busprof - wow. I guess compartmentalizing is key. Well, it helps us remember there are priorities above CFA. The two most important things in my life are upstairs sleeping like princesses (well, one just woke up…have to sign out for a bit). Again, best wishes to you and your family.
50/50 as well. I think I’m going to be one of the borderline ones that either just barely pass or just barely fail…
busprof, glad your little one is home and better. props to you for pulling thru the exam and your wife for handling it so you could. as for rating if I passed, I hate to jinx things…I’ll let you know in August
was 75% walking out the door and now 40% after realizing on AF all the unknown unknowns i was dealing.
80% on the AM, 50% on the PM Unless everyone in India/China failed and shifted the curve, i’m not optimistic.
50% POP Killed AM (80%+) PM (60%+) The P/E ratio popped up way to frequently. And no free cash flow evaluation that i was banking on… jeez! Anyways, non-financial background, <200 hrs input and first time candidate. I think I would have pulled off quite the feat if I do pass. Now, I’ll start reading the curriculum so that i may actually understand the context. Anyone working in IB or ER currently, care to comment on the value of truly learning the LII material and applicability of the same in the real world? I plan on going to b-school next year. Will a thorough understanding of the LII material help? perhaps an advantage during the interview process? It would be quite the commitment for me to spend the 6-8 months actually mastering this material.
70% = 42 correct out of 60 = 18 wrong out of 60. Are you so sure you only missed 18 questions?!
Yup…the detractor answers are so good, i bet there are plenty of people who figured they passed b/c all of their answer matched.

I don’t know who you mean specifically, but I meant 75% sure I passed meaning 75% sure I got above the mps. It is not that I know I got 70% of the questions right or else I would be 100% sure of passing.
not very…I think the 12 hours of sleep over the previous 3 days combined contributed to that and when the PM hit…I was ready to walk out the center because I was SOO exhausted. On another note (as mentioned in other posts), wtf was up with no “real” quant questions?? I busted my arse over getting the time series jammed into my head only to find an L1 type vignette. Port Mgmt was INSANE, and despite all the time I spent on the Eq stuff, my RI calcs didnt turn up correctly. Sorry for the rant guys, its just been sitting inside me for the past 36 odd hours!
50% probability that i got less than a 70%
cdawg12 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 50% probability that i got less than a 70% So there is a 50% probability you got higher than 70%.
I will be less 70% on Econ. I lost 2 BOP questions. I actually read that part in CFAI book. Somehow I managed to get them wrong. At least that broke one of my goals. Try not to think about if I passed or not for now. I need to catch up with work and life. Hope we all make it to level 3.
75% pass rate this year… oh my
somebody in August will post a thread like this one with one word changed… Re: How CONFUSED Are You That You Passed?
i didnt studied extensively… and i didnt think i did very well, i think maybe 60% chance of passing… but i gotta say the exam is VERY EASY… no time series, very simple derivative only… i was kinda pissed coz i studied those really well…
A bit better than 50% chance to pass after I discovered some of my guesses turned out to be correct
I’m pretty certain I blew it… I’ll be here on the L2 boards again next year.

I’m wondering will they rate the pass fail by how well you did in the morning? If you did poorly in the afternoon.
