How Confident Are You That You Passed?

how can 65% of people think they passed if less than 40% of the people will actually pass?

Overall, I’m not optimistic. I spent too much time not understanding the question, or doing stupid sh*t… for example, instead of getting “value to shareholders” (in millions of euros) I spent a lot of time calculating “value per share” over and over wondering why it was wrong. It’s more disappointing because I thought it was a well-balanced exam. The ones I knew, I got right away in under a minute. If not now, then next year it’ll be a piece of cake. I’ll be ready.

First of all, people who post on AF are not a representative sample of all level II candidates. People who spend time posting and reading here have generally had much higher pass rates. Second, the LII pass rate is sometimes as high as 50%.

ilkandi, I’m in the same boat. Like trying to figure out EVA for 5 minutes and realizing I’m using the wrong company A instead of B. Idiot. I’ll get them next year…

I have no clue. The exam takes so much out of me. I fell asleep after Sat’s dinner and I woke up 12 hours later. That was amazing since I have been working on 5-6 hours sleep per day for the past few months. I hope I’m not a repeater but I don’t have high expectations either.

optimistic that i will pass? Well everyone please try to relax and don’t study for the next 2 months. You’ll be in the long haul for level III when it all starts again.

I’m about 55% confident. I definitely nailed and killed the AM but the PM was an absolute disaster.

I’d like to say I’m a pass but I blew it on the min variance stuff and know I missed a few lob balls (not discounting the swaption payments is driving me nuts). If I go with comparatively, I’m doing fine compared to other people walking out. I’ll throw out 65%.

50%…the afternoon killed me

When I took it, I heard 2 guys behind me say that they didn’t study for it. One guy just took it for the hell of it.

I’m not confident. I destroyed the morning session. Real Estate was a gift for me. The afternoon was a complete sh*t show. I had to guess on a bunch :frowning:

I felt like absolute sh*t after finishing the PM session. But after checking some of my answers at the forum, I feel better. I think I have a good chance of passing because my AM session was very good…but so was everyone else’s . The performance during the PM session is very crucial though. Let’s see…hopefully, I’ve passed.

Lets see, I think I’ll get around 85% or more for the morning session. And as for the PM, I could even end up with a 55-60%. So i’m still pretty much a borderline candidate…And plus I wasn’t all that confident about my ethics

i gave myself 60% chance last year and failed. did much better this time i think—raise it to 70%

I am 100% sure that I am 150% uncertain. In level 1 i failed Economics and Quant when I felt I have nailed it. No predictions this time.

1.5 hours into the PM section and I had only answered about 21 questions - sh!t myself, went like crazy for the next hour and managed to catch up and finish on time. But now looking through the forum I can’t even recall some of the questions being discussed - like, was I in the same exam??? So, AM I nailed it, PM was a disaster. I’m hoping like crazy I scraped through with 65% but I very much doubt it.

70%

55% :frowning: although I had studied a lot!
