That was awesome!
Packers played like hell the first half. Just pathetic. The O-line injuries are a big factor: 4 of 5 starters out.
Next up, da 'Boys come to GB. Two struggling teams to duke it out.

At one point very early in yesterdayâs Pats/Eagles game, Matt Slater suffered a stinger during a Patriots punt, which seemed like the thirteenth time heâs been hurt this year and I thought to myself, âcan we just rest this guy for a few weeks⌠we shouldnât need SPECIAL TEAMS to beat the Eagles.â
*facepalm*
Congrats Yayyyywork.
The damn Osweilerâs control their fate for the one seed now. What world is this.
lol thanks ltj. I am still kind of in shock at how that game went down, not sure what happened to brady down the stretch, but I was still sure you guys were gonna win down 21 with 5 minutes to go.
This whole season has been a weird one. I still have pats going 1 seed but injuries are really killing you guys. Is your line banged up, because the eagles got tons of pressure on brady all game long?
Loving that Eagles win as a Giants fan, pretty much guarantees Chip keeps his job for another year.
loving the Eagles win as well. Nice attempt at trickery Patsies when they were up 14-0. Pats O-line looked atrocious out there.
I must be the only one not loving the Eagles win. I need every team in the NFC East to lose out. (Except for Americaâs Team, of course.)
Did you knowâif Dallas beats the Skins tonight, theyâll only be one game out of the lead for the NFC East.
Well yeah, the OL has been banged up but outside Solder on IR everyone is really just nursing minor injuries. Two things there: One - losing the start LT is not something to downplay of course, and two - those guys are 10 billion times tougher than I am so I really donât know what theyâre playing through. It is not pretty though, whatever it is.
That being said, the Patriots could overcome it with a healthy Edelman and Gronk. Bradyâs two second release (poor Gisele) only works when you have guys who can get open and quick. No one the Patriots trotted out there last night is capable of doing that. LaFell just flat out gave up on routes. Scott Chandler is running the wrong routes. Iâm still not sure I know who Keshawn Martin even is. Amendola is obviously still suffering from his knee injury. And even when they do get open they drop everything.
So yeah, receivers who canât create separation or catch + porous OL = bad results. And now with two straight losses, one being to a team competing for the 1 seed with them, means they have to push these hurt guys harder down the stretch than they were looking like they had to two weeks ago.
im thinking about betting a house on Dem Boys tonight
^Well, did it pay off for you?
Now weâre only one game out of first place in the NFC East.
One down, seven more to go.
Khalil Mack is a beast! This 11 vs. 2 game NFL split scheduling in the early and late slots is brutal but he came to play and saved us from the âgame of the weekâ turd that was the Packers/Cowboys. Five sacks, nuts.
Patriots back in control of the #1 seed. Wooooo.
are the Seahawks the nastiest team in the league right now?
^ Yes, and Chiefs in the AFC are on a tear.
And Sweep hasnât posted yet today. I think these two things are related.
^Iâm just quietly enjoying our road to the playoffs. Pissed Dalton broke his thumb. Cincy could have beaten the Donkeys, and Pittsburgh almost certainly will. We would have had the division. As it is now, I doubt Denver loses two more.
^Denverâs remaining games are @Bengals, vs. Steelers, vs. Chargers.
You think Denver wi/Osweiler is better than Cincin & Pitt? Iâll bet $100 that they lose at least one, if not both of those games.
Iâm hoping that the Vikes make the playoffs.
A friend of mine does as well: he has a 7-4 preseason bet on the Vikes making the playoffs.
If the playoffs started today I think I would put my money on the Seahawks, they are straight beast mode.
Shocked the Eagles managed another win, the NFC east is such a joke I really donât have anything to say.
The Chiefs are two games back but we would own the tiebreaker against Denver. So, we need to win out (@Ravens, Browns, Raiders) which is completely possible, and Denver has to lose two. Youâve got to assume theyâre going to beat the Chargers so that means theyâd have to get swept by Cincy and Pitt.
Like I said, I think Pittsburgh beats them but Cincy without Dalton? Probably not.
The Bengals have arguably just as good of a defense as the Broncos and Iâd definitely give the edge to the Bengals in terms of skill players with AJ Green and Gio Bernard (sidenote: what in godâs name has happened to Demaryius Thomas? He cannot catch anything).
At that point it comes down to Osweiler vs. McCarron and who f***s up less. I still like the Bengals in that scenario, even if the game is in Denver. Itâll be close and incredibly ugly too, what fun!
Of course predicting anything in this league is near impossible. The Chiefs barely got by San Diego who might be the worst team in the league. And who ever expected Oakland to win that game yeserday, especially after having negative yardage in the first half. Maybe theyâll spoil KCâs run in Week 17 just cause they can seem to at least generate some solid performances throughout the season.
I just want to shout out to Americaâs Team. We clinched home field throughout the offseason today!!!
