no over the last week. Im not that crazy to do 3 exams in one day haha.
Schweser 2011 Vol 1 1AM 88 1PM 83 2AM 88 CFAI sample 2010 Exam 1 81 Exam 2 83 CFAI sample 2011 Exam 1 72 Exam 2 81 I will finish Schweser before moving to CFAI mocks. Ethics is screwing me right now. I’m consistently scoring around 60% in this part.

Can some1 post the link to last year’s lvl 2 results ? Knowing the approximate passing scores would ease the pressure !

Now what? we solve them 4-5 times? with EOC? lol
Thankfully, the second Sample exam was a bit more straightforward. On to the mock exam this weekend. @zestzorb - if you feel good about how you took those tests (i.e., no notes & timed), then I would be very comfortable with those scores. If you have not already, go to the CFAI books on ethics. The quality of the readings and the examples are much better than Schweser. @v11 - CFAI does not release the minimum passing score. My thoughts are that high 70’s to mid 80’s on Schweser is good, and provides some cushion since the exam will be a bit different. Passing (70% or higher) the CFAI samples and the CFAI mock is also good. My guess (and I don’t have any more insight on this than anyone else) is that the MPS is right around 65. My basis for that guess is that if you assume that a 3 std low score is 35% (everyone should get a couple right + guessing), and 3 std deviation high score is 90% (which I also think is reasonable, due to the highly unpredictable nature of the exam, even for very well prepared candidates), then the mean would be 62.5% and the standard deviation would be 9.2%. The z-score to have 40% of candidates passing (in the right tail) would be 0.25, which is in line or at the low end of the historical passing rate. That would estimate the MPS to be 62.5% + .25(9.2%) = 64.8%. Book 1 Test 1 AM: 75% Test 1 PM: 65% Test 2 AM: 73% Test 2 PM: 75% Test 3 AM: 77% Test 3 PM: 82% Book 2 Test 1 AM: 62% Test 1 PM: 80% Test 2 AM: 78% Test 2 PM: 80% Test 3 AM: 80% Test 3 PM: 77% CFA Sample Exam 1: 61% CFA Sample Exam 2: 75%

I didn’t mean to sound like a d-bag. I do have prob with ethics, mate. Below <70%= fail, and it’s something that always drags my score down. I faced the same situation last year in L1 but luckily the real exam’s ethics was not as in-depth as Schweser mocks’.

Can’t believe this thread is still here, but you can look up some of the scores I put up (I had one exam in the low 60’s and and another in the high 50’s if I recall). Rule of thumb is >70 and you’re golden.

I didn’t use any notes and actually had some spare time left. (Actually I would advise everyone against using notes. It’s a waste of mocks.) I feel like I’m where I was last year, but I’ve heard that L2 exam is more trickier and harder than Schweser mocks, which is not the case for L1. I’ve done all Ethics EoC and scored pretty well, but in Schweser mocks I feel the questions are kinda ‘slick’ and, unlike maths, there are no definitive answer.
every year this thread happens, …like a broken record. I got an 86…woot! Ugghh…I only have a 65, does that mean I’m gonna fail??? no ever asks, “pardon me but how are you weighting your score?” B/c it’s not like cfai just takes a simple #correct/total questions or simple average or anything. How do you even know (especially in light of the company you are keeping in logging on to this board) that someone is lying to either look smart, or just get into others heads about what they are reporting. Let alone what that really even means. It’s essentially only a diagnostic process. How well/poor did you do on each section what concepts/ calculations did you miss that you can polish and improve? What areas need more work, what areas do I just need to tread water on? Am I the only one who shakes their head in amazement at the level of silly-ness in comparing mock scores, and or prep service test scores? The only person these will have meaning to is yourself. Sheesh.
Book 1: Exam 1: 69% Exam 2: 91% Exam 3: 81% Book 2: Exam 1: 71% Exam 2: 85% Exam 3: 78% CFA Sample 1: 55% CFA Sample 2: CFA Mock: Very concerned about the sample scores. Also seem to be getting a bit burnt out and having trouble focusing the way I did on the first few exams.

I think it helps you to know where you stand among your peers. That could help boosts your confidence or reminds you not to be complacent. CFAI’s MPS is an absolute threshold with no complex weighting. About the reported scores, they have to be taken as bona fide statements.
BSAS AM: 85% BSAS PM: 74% CFI 11 mock AM: 60% FUCKED
I think you missed the point, but irregardless I don’t want to argue. To each is own. I hope everyone here works hard and passes.
Not a word.
managed to do only one Mock till now, the CFA 2011 PM mock. Scored 83%. plan on doing the schweser mocks from volume 1 followed by my third round review of all CFA EOCs
Just finished Schweser Vol 1 today. I think I would start taking a few CFAI mocks before working on the other Schweser practice book. Schweser 2011 Vol 1 1AM 88 1PM 83 2AM 88 2PM 93 3AM 88 3PM 85 CFAI sample 2010 Exam 1 81 Exam 2 83 2011 Exam 1 72 Exam 2 81
just finished Schweser 2010 Volume 1 Average 61% I’m in major panic… will start 2011 volume 1 tomorrow…
Scarlette - just to let you know 2010 schweser and 2011 are identical! They just moved around the cases to different exams and very few questions have been tweaked. All the numbers are identical.
oh no… really? thanks for letting me know letsdothis- i should seriously get my money back from schweser
