ahahaha, yea Aussies are a disaster, something went wrong. the only nationality that can give Yanks a run for their money in crudeness and uncouthness. Kiwis are absolute sweethearts though.
the aloof asians must be koreans and chinese. filipinos, thais etc are pretty darn expressive.
Different cities, and even different establishments within cities, all have their own culture for spectrum of what is acceptable. In Philadelphia, being able to touch the girls is the norm. In general, respectful touching is fine as long as it is not over or under the bikini area. I have been at this job for a long time and I have always had the sense that I was overpaid for the talentless empty entertainment I provide. But I guess that is the catch. If you are the kind of person that is just naturally tolerant and can deal with strange men or women touching you, then this job is freaking easy. However, if some guy tries to bite you when you look away for one second and this causes you to have some sort of emotional breakdown … then yea, this is going to be the worst job in the world! It won’t be worth any money. Most guys are cool, but occasionally they will be disrespectful or try to take advantage. If you have the thick skin, sense of humor… and most of all… the self respect to hold your ground (all with a smile on your face when you want to literally punch them), then yea, this job is cake walk.
You know what… given the psychological profile of the dancer, I should start my own proprietary trading firm and hire only vetted ex-strippers. Actually, that’s genius.
hmmmmm…maybe down the road. Wouldn’t my life story be adorable.
I still get those AF newsletter things. I’m guessing you just registered under an email that you don’t check regularly. Everyone pretty much signed up using new email addresses, following the great banning of 2011 (in which everyone was banned for some reason or another).
Geeze, why are you being so creepy? My rules are in alignment with the Philadelphia norm. Anything more than that would make me feel personally uncomfortable so it is off the table… not for sale at any price.
The bannings were more of Chad just cleaning house. He used to be far less tolerant of what’s now become fairly regular WC stuff. We weren’t even allow to use foul language until AF V2.0. I argued, using as much profanity as I could muster, that anyone taking the CFA, looking for more info on the CFA, or just working in finance should be very used to hearing words like shit and there’s zero point in using sh!t unless you think you’re getting around your IT dept spying on you. Eventually Chad acquiesced and allowed us some latitude, at least here in the WC.
The Battle for the Water Cooler was very different. As you’ll recall, that was a bunch of spamming trolls (mainly from a certain sub-continent) and it was actually the lack of moderation that allowed things to get out of hand.
So, actually they were kind of completely opposite events.
