DJ news wire says it’s gonna be Mike Pence. Guessing Donald knew the optics (see above) wouldn’t work.
Christy should be very likable considering most of Americans are obese.
Trump just said he would be prepared to seek a formal declaration of war from the US Congress and commit ground troops to the conflict (in response to France truck attack). So now we know what he’ll do, cause he just told us. He’s going to go crazy and start a war. Probably more W Bush nonsense, attacking randomly not even knowing what he’s doing. Piss off a bunch of innocents, who will then terrorize the West a decade later.
…saw this movie before. Hedge time!
You act as though the woman you claim is full of character didn’t vote in favor of the war. Clinton is as much to blame as W for Iraq, but don’t let that get in the way of you spewing nonsense. Edit: hillary makes Romney look like a saint when it comes to “flip-flopping” on issues.
No. Clinton isn’t going to start a war. Not in her character, and she just told us so. Trump told us he would start a war. So now we know. Don’t act like you didn’t know. Don’t act surprised when attacking random people results in revenge attacks in 2026. Feedback loop.
She questioned the wisdom of being drawn into a ground war against the Islamic State, “it is a different kind of war and we need to be smart about how we wage it and win it.”
I didn’t say she would start another war… i said she was equally responsible for the iraq war that has ultimately led to where we are today. That broad has no character. She changes her views as often as the wind to align it with what people are talking about.
Check out the Clinton/Pokemon Go video on Trump’s facebook page. I laughed
The point is – the US choice is “duh”. Why? Asymmetric risk/return.
Clinton – no real upside possible, the country will continue it’s decline phase, but she will not shock the country into steep decline intentionally, or due to lack of competence.
Trump – no real upside possible, the country will continue it’s decline phase, but a very real probability he will shock the country into steep decline intentionally, thru reckless action, or lack of competence.
Meh. We’ve suffered through 7.25 years of Obama. The stock market tanked and came back to all time highs. Yet labor force participation is at generational lows. There hasn’t really been any recovery for most of the population, yet we stumble forward slowly anyway.
IMO people overestimate the president’s ability to affect change in many of the things that shape the macro economic environment, especially when you have the house and senate to deal with and one or both is confrolled by a different party.
Right or wrong, I still think Trump is the less bad option, if only by the tiniest bit. I’d like to see Gary Johnson win, but that’s probably not realistic.
No, she’s not as much to blame as W. W was the creator of the war whose administration deliberately misled people into voting for it. HRC simply voted for it, and it had broad support among vast sections of the population. Are they to blame as well? She is not equally responsible. Even Trump expressed support for the war in the beginning before flip-flopping lest you forget .

I’d like to see Gary Johnson win, but that’s probably not realistic.
the libertarian platform is indeed the light and the way out of the hellhole we’re digging. Unfortunately to be elected it requires a moral and rational populace, while modern democrat and republican platforms benefit from the absence of both. They’ve done a masterful job over the decades of cultivating a population nearly devoid of rational morality. This won’t get better anytime soon. More death and misery is in our future.
The libertarian platform is so popular and so relevant that nobody votes for it or takes it seriously come election time.

Yes, a population that understands the morality of life being defined by the parents to which you’re born. Free of anything that would attempt to balance opportunity between all. Moral? No. Rational? If you’re born on third base.
Do you often use words for which you don’t understand their definition?
^ Never happened.

Meh. We’ve suffered through 7.25 years of Obama.
Right, Americans are bored of the “good times” (this is as good as it gets), and want W Bush years back. It really is sort of a death wish going on there.

…modern democrat and republican platforms benefit from the absence of both.
EXHIBIT A
I wasn’t surprised to hear Trump’s ex-wife say he used to keep Hitler’s speeches next to his bed (back in the 90s).
Lots of Hitler-tactic similarities; project authority and decisiveness with bold claims “I have the answer!”, provide no details on what the answer is (just trust me), speak to a beaten down people of dreams of being great again (toss in lots of nationalism), blame “those guys” and promise to be tough on them (declare war, build a wall, gas them, etc), develop a cult-like following (appealing to emotionality is key here), use the cult following to commit violence, boldly attack any critical voice and silence them thru intimidation.
Humans don’t change/learn, these are classic strategies that obviously work. Just really boring that I have to watch the same movie on repeat…
^ You have a source for that?
Yes, as I said the source is Trump’s ex-wife! Trump was questioned on it without having time to prepare a good lie, he made up the fishiest of stories, it was followed up on, and it turned out he lied. He was given a copy of Hitler’s speeches, they were kept by his bed, and his only out is now to say “well, I didn’t read them”.
No maybe, the guy 100% studied Hitler’s speeches, and put them to use. But yeah, I’m sure it’s nothing, let’s just ignore all these red flags.
