The biggest issue is the supreme court. Low information voters may get hung up personalities or tax policy, but who is put on the bench will forever cement the role of the feds. It is very simple, if you prefer HRC’s potential nominees, vote for her. If you prefer Trump’s, vote for him. The 3000 political appointees either brings will take care of everything else. Obama spends more time playing golf than thinking about policy. The fight with ISIS and the battles with Congress are left to other people. The idea that there is some omniscient character that really is qualified to be president is beyond comical. People love to hero warship.
Bwahaha, it’s indeed pretty weird! I would think experienced and educated finance people who have seen this type of con-artist personality before, especially fact-based analyst types who don’t get emotional, would see right thru this guy.
Turd- I understand where you are coming from but I think that the view of neighbors helping neighbors etc is just a dated philosophy that worked back when communities were small but no longer seem realistic in this ever growing ever urbanized world. How can you help people you dont know? There are 7 million people in NYC and that is an insane amount of people. I agree the current system is not great but I certainly dont look with rose colored classes at a simpler (easier) time when you could have zero education and find good work. The world has changed greatly and I am not sure trying to make things the way they were would realistically do anything.
I still think the bulk of the disagreement between the left and the right in america has to do with the completely different lifestyles and sense of community people in cities and people in more rural areas have. Both generally dont understand what it is the other goes through and nothing really gets done.
Edit: When the heck did we get a spell check??? Go on vacation for a week and back to this wonderful gift.
i grew up country folk, then spent my 20s and early 30s as city folk in a major metro, now back to country folk. nothing wrong with cities. let them govern how they see fit. what i find abhorrent is a federal government that assumes their idea of how life should be lived is how everyone, everywhere should want to live their lives. beyond that, in just about every government venture into the private lives of individuals, the supposed benefits to society are nothing more than easy cover for politicians to increase their own power, wealth and influence. I wish the average person realized that politicians at the federal level don’t give a fuck about them, their happiness or their prosperity. it’s a con game.
fair enough, i grew up in the suburbs and went to college in the boonies before moving to a city so I have seen a bit as well and obviously neither is better or worse per say its all up to personal prefs.
Totally agree politicians are self serving garbage though and its insane people actually like them, my cousin is interning for a senator and the guy is a complete sleaze ball but he posts all his crap on his facebook wall like the guy is a stand up citizen, its shocking.
progression…This is why we need to always progress…Why be conservative? conserve what?? the past? lol…I know one thing - the conservatives are not about conserving the environment.
/applause
^I always thought they were trying to conserve the rights established during the founding. Declaration of independence, Constitution, Etc. You know, liberty, independence, community, all that.
STATEMENT IN RESPONSE TO PRESIDENT OBAMA’S FAILED LEADERSHIP
"Obama-Clinton have single-handedly destabilized the Middle East, handed Iraq, Libya and Syria to ISIS, and allowed our personnel to be slaughtered at Benghazi. Then they put Iran on the path to nuclear weapons. Then they allowed dozens of veterans to die waiting for medical care that never came.
Hillary Clinton put the whole country at risk with her illegal email server, deleted evidence of her crime, and lied repeatedly about her conduct which endangered us all. They released criminal aliens into our country who killed one innocent American after another – like Sarah Root and Kate Steinle – and have repeatedly admitted migrants later implicated in terrorism. They have produced the worst recovery since the Great Depression. They have shipped millions of our best jobs overseas to appease their global special interests. They have betrayed our security and our workers, and Hillary Clinton has proven herself unfit to serve in any government office.
She is reckless with her emails, reckless with regime change, and reckless with American lives. Our nation has been humiliated abroad and compromised by radical Islam brought onto our shores. We need change now."
-Donald J. Trump
^She’s a peach - http://m.townhall.com/tipsheet/cortneyobrien/2016/08/02/father-of-benghazi-victim-either-hillary-is-a-liar-or-has-a-bad-memory-from-head-injury-n2201035
LOL, still all he’s got is “but the emails” (absolutely nothing), meanwhile there are decades of Trump atrocities. Time for this retard to retire…
There’s a bit more than emails-
Sounds like you are complaining about how the United States works. This is business as usual for the upper middle class. Just move if you don’t like it, doesn’t have anything to do with the presidency. Short of revolution, nothing will change.
Trump now losing cool over a baby crying in the audience. No negative media articles, no asking for details on plans, no babies crying, “everyone just shut up and do what I say”. Bizarre person…

While I certainly agree Obama has his hand in some responsibility for the situations in the Middle East, the thought that you could say it is single handedly Obama-Clinton is pretty laughable. Maybe if we didnt go in there and slaughter a bunch of people in the first place Benghazi never would have happened. Trump is pandering though so I am sure people will eat it up and agree
Take it you didn’t watch the video in the article. Nothing bizarre at all. The funny thing is the mom stayed after the first mention thinking a speaker would actually enjoy talking over a crying baby. Are you some kind of paid shill? You come across incredibly clownish and irrational. Maybe you don’t recognize age has clouded your mind, assuming at one time in your life you were actually a high level thinker.
That this is now “normal” behavior for a presidential candidate in America says a lot.
