in everyday language the word racist is more often than not used as a proxy for prejudiced and bigoted. this is why you get people saying that people are racist towards muslims which conveys the same meaning even though muslims are not a race.
second, if you make a blanket statement about 36 million people saying that they are rapists and criminals without further elaboration or empirical evidence to back up your claim and you do it in an offensive and non-tactful manner you don’t get points for telling it as it is, you get called out as a racist shithead.
third jurists have inherent bias in them, this has been documented by peer reviewed scientific studies. he questioned a fucking judge, if you go after one you better have some shit to back your claim rather than a hypothesis that he could be biased because of his race.
