Who's the smartest...

^Yeah, I think it is obvious that O is pretty smart. Then again, anonymous posters on an online forum criticizing the abilities of somebody far more successful than they will ever be…

Obama is a massive failure that only knows how to talk, and he was too weak to get anything through that wasn’t ultimately neutered. All that “i’m not a career politican, I bring hope and change” was smoke and mirrors. the young masses that came up and voted for him is actually the group most shafted in today’s society. I’m not saying he’s dumb, if you have the ability to con voters, congrats to you. But incredibly awful leadership

I agree with this wholeheartedly. An incumbent politician would NEVER resort to the use of rhetoric and demagoguery to further his party’s politics.

President Obama is a genius. He promised immigration reform and failed to deliver it. Promised it again and got Latinos to vote for him a second time. He promised a better life to minorities and the poor and they were largely left behind by the economic recovery he claims as his own. He promised it to them again and they voted for him again.

See, it works either way.

Americans are really obsessed with political arguing. The topic was intelligence.

So given the choice, would you rather be a highly intelligent person unable to relate/connect to people around you, or an average smart but highly social one?

Only a moron would expect a populace obsessed with political arguing to get through a thread about intelligence without introducing political arguing.

the expert chimes in. Shooting from the hips!

Yeah Canada’s gun ownership per capita accodring to BBG is 32 per 100. US stands at 112 per 100.

Not to mention the restriction of AR15 or M16 and its variants in Canada.

We in the USA have AR15 rifles that shoot standard NATO 5.56 round effective to 300 meters with up to 30 round magazines and if you have big bucks you can potentially get fully automatic. And if you go to one of many many gun shows you can go ahead and purchase these ARs from private owners with no background checks. No background checks at gun shows = 42 states. Only arms dealers need license to sell and buy and must do background checks on its customers.

So I did my research on Canada’s gun ownership…

Yeah, I guess.

It’s sort of ADHD with a mission , it always goes off topic, but not randomly…all paths lead to “but Obama…”. Hehe.

I agree with this. It is the unsmart or the people with average intelligence that chimes in like an expert and just shoots right out of the gate just rambling his/her opinions.

i would imagine that the lower rate of gun violence has a lot to do with the demeanor of the average Canadian versus the demeanor of the average American. the number of guns and gun access is only part of the issue. maybe if you guys said sorry more often, you wouldn’t have to shoot each other.

Just curious–I haven’t done any kind of studies on this whatsoever.

If you take just the states that border Canada, how do the “gun violence” statistics compare with Canada’s?

If you take just the states that border Mexico and the Caribbean, how do the “gun violence” statistics compare with Canada’s?

Is it possible, however unlikely, that there’s a big difference between the southern border states and the northern border states?

Hmm… Seems like temperature is the biggest factor. Another reason to be concerned about Climate Change.

Hmm, since this is an intelligence thread, let’s see if you guys can spot the pattern:

Firearm Deaths per 100K / Guns per 100

United States 10.5 / 112.6 Canada 2.2 / 30.8 Finland 3.6 / 29.1 France 3.0 / 31.2 Japan 0.1 / 0.6 Singapore 0.2 / 0.5 Korea 0.1 / 1.1 Hong Kong 0.0 / 0.0 …“oh but, perhaps killing with butter knives increased while gun killing decreased such that total killing…”. Bzzzz wrong answer.

^ Wow, those folks in Singapore are some pretty irresponsible gun owners. 40% of people with guns kill people.

unless you can tell me why there are fewer firearms deaths in Canada given they have similar guns/100 to that of France and Finland, your argument is not compelling. let’s be honest. the U.S. firearm issue is a socio-economic issue. Canada, Finland and France don’t have ghettos like the U.S. if you want to reduce gun deaths in the U.S., increase social spending.

and asia is far too busy comitting suicide to kill someone else. maybe if asians had guns they would take their anger or depression out on someone else for a change.

^ American statistics and rationalization in action! Unbelievable.

using an outlier to justify a position on gun laws! unbelievable.
